Alter Ego Essay

My alter ego is a sassy city girl named Ko-Ko. Ko-Ko is very bold and rambunctious. She is immensely outspoken and isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind. The inspiration for this character came from one of my best friends. She told me I was too conventional and I needed to live a little, so we created my alter ego Ko-Ko who was the total opposite of me. “AAAAAHHHHH, where is the train!” I yelled. “Ko-Ko, will you calm down, it’ll be here in a minute.” Jaylyn said. The train always took forever and a day to come, it really did. That didn’t stop me from complaining every time though. People who complain over every little thing got on my last right nerve, it really did. But I was one of em’ and I wouldn’t change for nobody. Anyways we were on our way to the beach; see it was my birthday and we were having a “girl’s day out”. I started to play a joke on Chante but I didn’t really feel like it. I have to be in the mood to do stuff like that. Finally the train came and we got on. It was a nice one too, you know, the ones with the digital sign that says every stop; not like the raggedy ones that always reek of urine. Then, this guy got on with an old, worn out phone. I hate to people with bogus phones. I could dislike someone just by the type of phone they had. I know that sounds mean but seeing someone with a bumy phone always got to me. “Excuse me sir.” I said “yes?” was his reply “Why is yo phone so crummy?” I said very curiously. “Ko-Ko!” Jaylyn and Chante yelled in unison. “WHAT?! Yall know I don’t bite my tongue for nobody; I want to know why he has on 150 dollar pair of Jordan sneakers and a crummy phone. It just doesn’t make sense! Jaylyn and Chante shook their head while the man got up and moved to the next cart, even though there was a sign that said do not move from cart to cart unless there is an emergency.
