On September, 22nd, 1995 a legend was born. Her name was Alexis Elizabeth Taparrotta, and she was one of those lucky people who is born kicking but doesn’t stop. Alexis started playing soccer at the age of three. Her parents signed her up at such a young age so she would always have a lead on other potential legends. Alexis had a weird obsession with soccer. Every single thing she owned either had something to do with soccer or had a soccer ball on it. She had a soccer bed set, books, balls that went on the ceiling that would glow in the dark when the lights were off, posters, clothes, every possible jersey worn by a soccer player. She also had every single world cup soccer ball in the
entire world. Alexis even had a special exit in her room that took her to the back of her house which was of course a soccer field with nets. She had benches and stands, she just could never get enough soccer. A few years later Alexis turned 14 years old and it was finally the summer before her freshman year. She new she wanted to go professional and play in college so she decided to dedicate her whole entire summer to make varsity. She ran a hour and a half each day (a full soccer game) she had at least 500 touches on a soccer ball, and she practiced shooting and defense with her personal soccer trainer. She believed in the impossible as one of her favorite soccer players said, “Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. it’s a dare. Impossible it potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is NOTHING.”- David Beckham. By the time tryouts came around she new she was ready, by the first tryout she caught the coaches eye, Alexis new at that moment she was living the impossible.
Alexis was so in love with soccer she decided to travel to Europe for the summer and collect soccer balls and soccer pins. If it was 3$ for pins and 4$ for soccer balls and ended up with a total of 25$ worth of soccer stuff, how much of each did she buy?
