Before the sentence is carried out, two papers -- one with "LIFE" written on it and one with "DEATH" written on it -- are folded up and placed in a hat. You are permitted to pick out one of the papers (without looking), and if you choose the one with "LIFE" written on it, you are set free. Otherwise, the death sentence is carried out. On this occasion, a mean-spirited acquaintance of yours, bent on your demise, has substituted the paper with "LIFE" written on it with another one with "DEATH" written on it. This person gleefully informs you of what he has done and that you are doomed to die. Activity 1
THE EVERYDAY PUZZLE
It is not a riddle, just a question on what you will do if this happens in your everyday life.
The purpose is for the students to discuss matters in an analytical way.
Class can be divided to 3 groups, each huddled in a circle. A question is given and they are given 2 minutes to discuss things up and decide on an answer. A groupmate will be assigned to report the answer, and each group will express their ideas and explain their answers. The points will go to the group who gets the correct answer.
Activity 2
THE SYLLABIC PHOTO
It is not four pics one word. A photo represents a word or group of words and everybody must guess what the word is.
The purpose is for the students to harness their non-verbal reasoning skills.
Divide into three groups (may be the same grouping as the last activity) still huddled in a circle. Each student must have a distinct sound so the teacher will have an idea who raised their hand first. Points are given to the group who answered the photo correctly.
Activity 3
THE DETAINEE
It’s just one question for the purpose of reasoning beyond sanity. (Kidding) yep, I’m dead serious.
It can be played individually if the three groups are bothersome. Basically it is called as a collaborative learning activity, right? So you will need to have the groups whether you like it or not. Have the groups discuss for five minutes about the situation given, have somebody report the action to be done and let them speak on what they think is correct. Meanwhile, the teacher/facilitator needs to be keen in order to prevent a fistfight or arguments. Points goes to the group who can have the nearest version of the answer provided here. No one is allowed to argue about the answer provided by the paper that I will submit. Ha!
Activity 4
RIDDLE, RIDDLE, THE CAT AND THE FIDDLE
Stop being thick, these are all riddles.
These may help them detect deception. There is trickery in the riddles.
Same groups. Each group will have a distinct sound like, banana! Banana! Or, meow! Meow! These are just examples. Only one representative per group. Of course, points will go to the student who had the correct answer provided in this paper. No arguments, please. 
Activity 5
EINSTEIN’S RIDDLE
Usually done individually, but groups may bring this home. It’s a puzzle, and this is a long term game. It may take weeks to solve. This may stop them from being dense, or after solving this they may use their head more often. (haha)
Teacher must solve this also. 

An accomplice is often present or directly aids in the commission of the crime. The principle of accomplice liability is based on the notion that any individual who aids, abets, encourages, or assists another person to commit a crime should share in the criminal liability that accrues under law. “Criminal liability is the legal responsibility for a crime against the state, making the perpetrator subject to prosecution in a court of law and punishment (wiseGeek, 2003-2013).”…

    Spel Case

When presented with the crucial decision of life or death, people should do everything in their power to survive, no matter the cost. While on an excursion of spelunking, four friends find themselves trapped in a cave with limited amounts of food and water. In order to increase their chances of survival, one of the friends suggest drawing straws to see who will be killed and eaten for the benefit of the group. After killing the friend who was left with the shortest straw, the remaining spelunkers are rescued a couple weeks later and shared their story with their community. The friends are soon met with charges of homicide and disapproval from the public for their lack of moral awareness. This essay will argue that murder is justifiable when the reality of grim conditions exists. Consequences from such an action do not come to mind when decisions are based solely on emotions and not made with morals and ethical obligations set by society.…

    Brother Doodle Analysis

Brother is guilty because he left Doodle. I think Brother is guilty because he in the mud when he fell. The reason I say this is because Brother was technically “in charge” or “taking care” of Doodle at the time of his death. Another reason I say this, for example is because he always had Doodle with him because their Mother made Brother take Doodle along with him. He might not have liked this so he decided that enough was enough and made the plans to leave him out in the mud. So knowing he was faster than Doodle, He ran away and left him in the mud when he fell.…

You have just received a letter in regards to a family member, who you’ve known as kind, caring, funny, and has even helped you out in times of need. The state wishes to enforce capital punishment on him, however, capital punishment is on the ballot this November… What will be your vote? Most people can be persuaded when it comes to sales, dinner, and even forgiveness, but usually when it comes to an involvement of life and death, people know where they stand. Most choose life. When it comes to the death penalty, it can be very challenging to persuade your audience to support it. Edward I Koch, writer, attorney, and Mayor of New York City, takes on this challenge in an article Death and Justice in the New Republic, 1985. Discussing both point of views of the argument, Koch explains to his readers the pros and cons towards capital punishment, and explicitly showing why capital punishment serves purpose. Koch uses an academic, and a highly skilled route of persuading his audience through ethos, logos, and pathos to accept the justification that capital punishment should be supported.…

Throughout the years, the death penalty has continued to be an ongoing controversial issue in the United States. While there are many supporters of the death penalty, there is also a great amount of objection. This type of punishment has been around since the eighteenth century in order to assist in a form of a consequence. It continues to be used to discipline those who break the laws and standards that are expected of them, by sentencing them to death. Ever since, it has become the highest level of punishment that can be handed down to someone in the criminal justice system; however, it has also raised many concerns. We should do some reflection about the fact how some executions occur for the person who think death penalty is a humane way. Prisoners often don’t know when they are to be killed.one day. They are woken up and taken to a remote place and gunshot in the chest. They will be shot in the head again by a captain if they don't die. Bullets will rip through their flesh will be ripped though bullets, their blood vessels will be slashed. It causes excessive bleeding. They will die quickly if they are lucky because of this process of hemorrhage. But maybe shooting without aiming, the bullets will not hit their vital organs.it will cause they die slowly and painful. The information on executions are kept absolutely secret by governments, so no one exactly knows who in the firing squad fired the death blow. For hangings, people will strap the prisoners on a steel board to stop prisoners moving. They will feel very painful at the end of the rope, strugglingviolently as they asphyxiated. in a word, death penalty is inhuman and disregard the affection of Death's Friends and relatives. (bryan)…
