Accounting Profession
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions a person has to make in their life. It is important because rest of our life will depend on our decision of what we choose as our career. One should choose his career with a lot of interest and research. He should not only consider what career will bring him money but also that what career he will love to work for. It is a real unfortunate for a man to advance on the track of life without any definite aim in view. If one wants to change his attempt into success he needs detailed planning and systematic preparation. Those persons who do not think in advance of their future and do not plan their course of action are liable to fail in life. The career I choose is to be a Certified Public Accountant but there is a lot of research beside my decision which answers why I want to become a CPA and how I can become a CPA.
“Never call an accountant a credit to his profession; a good accountant is a debit to his profession” (Charles Lyell). Accountancy is one of the most respected careers and CAP’s are considered as one of the highest paid professionals. It is not just the income which attracts people towards this profession, but also the respect attached to it. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the statutory title of qualified accountants in the United States who have passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination and have met additional state education and experience requirements for certification to become a CPA. Certified Public Accountants handle a variety of jobs and tasks. It is commonly said that all CPAs are accountants, but not all accountant are CPAs. They offer basic income tax preparation and advice for a range of clients including individuals, small businesses and corporations. CPAs can also be found performing basic business record keeping, auditing and consulting work. One of the more important roles CPAs can perform is that of a consultant.
