Thank you
Thank you
It is unavoidably true that evil consumes the world we live in. We see the presence of evil in the masses whether it is through the news or with our own eyes. Encountering evil is inevitable, and that is a thought that both Joseph Brodsky and I share.…
Eighth grade graduation is a small milestone in your life, but a milestone none the less. Last year I graduated with all of my friends that I’ve had from the very beginning.…
7 hours a day, 5 days a week, 40 weeks a year. That sounds like a long, long time. But…
Congratulations! I am so proud of you. You continue to be an outstanding example of your beliefs in action. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the special meeting today. I am passing the email on the Prayer Chaplain team. Please continue to let me know of any upcoming events.…
Today, June, 26th, 2012, is the day that we, as a class, are going to graduate the eighth grade. Of course, we all know that. But do we really understand what it all means? The definition of graduation is to complete a class or course of study. That’s it, the original definition of graduating. To me, graduation means more than that. It means growing, it means changing, and it means moving on. Today, the ceremony might seem like it's all happening too fast, or, it might seem like it's never going to end, but all our lives we'll remember it, and that's what counts. My two years of middle school have been a time to remember, I’ve learned a lot during my time in middle school, and these memories are what we are going to remember for the rest of our lives.…
Graduation Speech By: Olivia Ganoza Good afternoon everyone my name is Olivia Ganoza. Thank you all for coming out to celebrate the class of 2017 8th grade graduation.…
Good Afternoon, thank you for coming to our 8th grade promotion. 9 years ago I walked onto this campus for the first time hand in hand with my mom. Being only 5 years old, I had no clue regarding what would happen in the years to come. All I knew was in that moment, I was utterly terrified. Looking back on it now though, I had nothing to worry about.…
In 5th grade I never wanted to leave Wolcott. I thought middle school was just filled with mean teachers, more work, and mean kids. I guess I was just stereotyping because that’s not at all what it had turned out to be. When I first walked through those doors to Sedgwick I was feeling a whole mix of emotions like happy, scared and excited.…
Do you remember the first day of Middle School? When you stepped onto campus, and noticed how big this school was, looking for faces you recognized. And when you did, you ran up to them and talked to them like they were the most important person in the world, so you wouldn’t feel so awkward. You told them how nervous and happy you were. Here we are, three years later. Sitting in our dresses and whatever, knowing that in two months, we'll be doing the same thing at a different school. And if you look around in your seats, you'll notice that these are the people you've spent almost every day with, knowing that you wont be seeing all of the same faces next year. Faces that you may have just met this year. And faces that you will remember for the rest of your lives.…
Four years ago we stepped into high school as individuals seeking to do well, to find our identity, to find our best friend. We opened our lockers for the first time, looked at our schedules, and thought about how awesome it was to finally be in high school. Four years ago we met our best friend, went to our first school dance, and had a crush on a cute senior. Four years ago, we couldn't wait to get older.…
As I move on to eighth grade I reflect on the many great memories I have shared at this school. Seventh grade was a fresh new year, not like sixth grade, or fifth, or fourth. You do not have high school next year like the eighth graders, you are not the young new ones like the sixth graders. You are the seventh graders or as many refer to the “middle class.” At this school I have done everything from fun field trips to studying for hard tests. From kindergarten to now going into eighth grade. Sometimes I cannot even believe I am going on to eighth grade. It seems like it was just yesterday when I was anxiously awaiting, for the first day of sixth grade.…
To all the parents and teachers that have come to support us, our success is your success, for you have given us the freedom to excel and the belief that we can achieve our best. You have been there for us with support and care. For all these things, we, the class of 2012, thank you. I would like to end on a quote by Winston Churchill directed to the class of 2012,”Success is never final. Failure is never fatal. It is…
Congratulations not only to us graduates, but also congratulations to our teachers, parents, friends, families and administrators. Our success is your success, for you have given us the freedom to dare, the courage to excel and the belief that we can achieve our best. Together for the last time, we stand poised at the very edge of graduation, looking towards a bright future. Soon each of us will go forth, in his or her unique direction, seeking to make a mark upon the world. Our adulthood, so long anticipated, has now arrived.…
