3.1 Explain The Importance Of Caring For Children's Behaviour
I understand that as a working parent you have to go to work. But if your child is poorly I believe that they will be better off being looked after in their own home by their parent. I am happy to care for a child if they have coughs and colds but will not care for children who are infectious or running a high temperature. I need to take into account the wellbeing of all the children in my care. I request that if your child has diarrhoea or sickness in the last forty-eight hours please do not bring them. Phone and keep me informed. If your child becomes poorly whilst in my care, I will make them feel as comfortable as possible. I will reassure your child and will isolate them from the other children if necessary. I will ensure to contact you …show more content…
I believe it is hugely important and I will encourage this behaviour by:
• I believe that setting a good example is being a good role model
• When a child is showing good behaviour I will give them lots of praise.
• I will reward good behaviour
• By giving the children individual attention they will feel appreciated and valued.
• By listening to what the children have to say they will feel respected.
• Rewarding with Stickers and choosing activities and games to play. I will also be handing out certificates to the children for good behaviour e.g. showing kindness to others and sharing etc.

From day one of me caring for your child I teach them to understand my house rules. The rules are reasonable and I am consistent in the enforcing of them. I do not give out conflicting messages, when I say No I mean No!

I understand that all children will misbehave from time to time. I have developed several strategies on how to deal with a child that is misbehaving. I will use different ones depending on the age and stage of development the child is at:
• I will remove the child from the situation that is causing issues and I will give them an alternative activity to distract
