I attended the Farrell Violin Concerto on April 12 which included a wonderfully composed solo violin piece with added instrument ensemble and a customary orchestra. This concerto was played by the nashville symphonists at the famous Schermerhorn Symphony Center of Nashville Tennessee. Overall‚ as usual‚ the jazz ensemble at MAC on Monday night was great‚ and as I mentioned before‚ I never heard this band before‚ so I was very excited to listen to their performance. I love that they use Benny Goodman’s composition to end the whole concert because it really brought the 1920’s big bang jazz’s feeling back to the audience. The concert that I reviewed is the Guitar Studio Recital featuring The Oakland University Saxo-Ensemble. I love listening to guitars so I figured that this was the perfect concert for me.
