Beowulf Comparison Beowulf is a very appealing novel as well as a film. The novel Beowulf and the film have many similarities‚ but they have more differences then anything. While watching the film I noticed many added parts that were not included in the novel. In the film‚ Grendel’s arm caught is caught on a rope as he’s trying to escape. As the men get closer he has no choice but to cut his own arm off in order to escape‚ this action is an actual animal reaction when their limb gets caught

Book and Movie Comparison The general thought of films based off of a novel is negative towards the film‚ in the case of Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God I will have to agree with the general thought. The film adapted for television by Oprah Winfrey does not include many of the important or want to see exciting details from the novel. The novel also exaggerated some parts of the book on psychological level‚ for example the hatred people had for one another. It was a good movie without

My reading of the book thief My thoughts about the book: Reading the book has been both interesting and exiting‚ especially since I have a special interest in history. Reading about a young girl in Nazi Germany‚ with the narrator being Death‚ really gets to you‚ and drags youn into the book. It is quite long(540 pages)‚ but you shouldn’t let that stop you from reading it. It is worth it! The book is simply magnificent‚ and the author Markus Zusak has done a terrific job writing it.

Most often when a book or a poem gets made into a movie‚ there are many similarities and differences amongst the two. This was no exception for the epic poem Beowulf‚ translated by Seamus Heaney‚ and the 2007 animated motion picture “Beowulf.” It became evident rather early on in the film that the directors had interpreted the poem far differently than what it was made out to be when it was originally written.
