Further studies show that the number of diabetes cases worldwide has doubled since 1980 and is now at startling 350 million diabetics. (Laino‚ 2011). Diabetes is a lifelong disease in which the level of glucose in the blood is abnormally high. Connected to this is a condition called hyperglycemia.
