    Fear is a powerful thing. It can make or break someone. Even the strongest person can fall in the face of fear. In the novel The Red Badge of Courage the author‚ Steven Crane‚ suggests that fear can destroy someone if they allow it to get to them. Henry hows the greatest fear out of anyone in the novel. Early within the novel he shows his fear. He tried to “mathematically prove to himself that he would not run from battle.” here is where the fear is slowly consuming him.
