In Romeo and Juliet, the family feud is responsible for the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. Had there not been a family feud, there would have been no need for Romeo and Juliet to hide their love. Likewise, Friar Lawrence would not have had to devise a plan to help the couple escape.

If the Capulets and Montagues had resolved their differences, both Romeo and Juliet would have lived to have a happy life. The Montagues and Capulets realize the error of their ways a little too late. Nevertheless, both families resolve their differences after losing their loved ones.

It is sad to think that Romeo and Juliet could have lived if two families had not hated each other. All the other instances in the play happen due to the hatred between two families. Although the families resolve their differences in the end, it is too late to save Romeo and Juliet. Two innocent young people die but possibly not in vain. The future will be be better for the remaining Montagues and Capulets. In Romeo and Juliet, the family feud is responsible for the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. If they never had gotten married, none of this would have ever happened. Juliet would have just married Paris instead of faking her death for Romeo. Also Romeo wouldn't have cared if Juliet had died and just lived on his life instead of killing himself. “Then plainly know my heart's set on the fair daughter of rich Capulet.” (Shakespeare 410). This was a quote from which when Romeo had asked the Friar to marry him and Juliet. If this had never happened it would have saved many lives in this story. Some of the evidence from the play states that the family’s hatred is responsible for the tragedies. At the party, Juliet meets Romeo and they fall in love. After they kiss, Juliet finds out that Romeo is a Montague and is horrified because they cannot be together due to their family feud. “My only love sprung from my only hate (Act I, scene 5, line 138)” This quote says that the only person she has loved is the only person she has to hate. Even though the hate is of his name and not his person. This is the reason they cannot be together. It is almost as if their love is cursed. That they shall not be together no matter how much they love each other even if it cost them their life.…
