Bicameral- having two branches or chambers

Caucus- a meeting of members of a legislative body who are members of a particular political party

Censure- express a severe disapproval typically in a formal statement

Census- an official court or survey of population, typically recording carious details of individuals

Cloture- a procedure for ending a debate and taking a vote

Filibuster- an action such as a prolonged speech that obstructs progress in a legislative assembly

Franking privilege- allows members send mail using their signature instead of a stamp

Gerrymandering- manipulate the boundaries

Government Printing Office- an agency of the legislative branch that provides printing and binding services for congress

Joint committees- made up of both members of both chambers

Quorum- the minimum number of member to be present at a meeting to make a meeting valid

Seniority system- the concept of a person or group being in charged

Session- a meeting of a deliberative or judicial body to conduct its business

Whips- A member of legislature appointed to facilitate party organization

Senate- at least 30 yrs old, U.S citizen for 9 yrs, live in represented state
