INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate my understanding of a professional teacher, acquire knowledge and understanding of the challenges that teachers face in the classroom and how I, as a teacher need to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
My involvement in Mount Pleasant Pre-primary/primary School, Port Elizabeth has enhanced my comprehension of the learning outcomes, which includes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions professional and appropriate teachers possess.
I have acquired knowledge of some of the learning outcomes through first hand experiences I obtained while doing practical at Mount Pleasant School, completing all the online discussions and written assignments which correlates with the Learning Outcomes in this module (Being a professional teacher).
This portfolio presents the implementation of my experience and attained knowledge.
