This research is important because without offering current customers new alternatives and reaching out to new customers, Pet Palace cannot stay competitive in the evolving retail market of pet supplies. Creating an online presence may keep the business one step ahead of its current competition and maximize its percentage of the market share. Generally, becoming a ‘bricks and clicks’ store will not only make the pet supply store more profitable and available, it will allow the business to evolve…

After browsing around the website for Social Research Methods, I found various topics to choose from. Once I found the table of contents, there were topics from how to format your paper to how to make sure the project is both a valid and reliable piece of work. The two topics that I chose to be the most helpful were types of questions and the cycle of planning-evaluation. The first topic I found helpful was the topic on the types of questions that could bring more focus to a research project. This topic covers three different questions, Descriptive, Relational, and Casual, which are described by what kind of project could be addressed by it. Other people could find the topic helpful if they need help or are confused with how they should go about their research project. Depending on what they wanted to research, changes what question from the topic they would choose. For the second topic I chose, it covers the research process of the Planning-Evaluation Cycle. Each part of the cycle has its own stages to follow to help guide how and what research should be done. Myself, and probably a lot of others would find this helpful to organize and prep for a research project. With stages to follow, it is a good way to map out your project details to make it easier while carrying it out. All of the topics found on this website could be useful to people who get stuck or need some help keeping their project flow easier. There are copious amounts of topics to look at, one of them bound to be helpful during a research project. The two that I chose for this assignment seem to me to be the most helpful in doing a project; each of them possibly making research go more smoothly. I would strongly recommend these two topics for other student s to look and even use while thy are doing research.…

In 1939 Wendell Johnson set up ‘The Monster Study’, which involved placing 22 orphan children into two experimental groups, the ‘stutterers’ and the ‘non-stutterers’. Though it is important to note that only half of the children put into the ‘stuttering’ group actually had a stuttering problem. The non-stuttering group were given positive speech therapy, praising how well and fluent they spoke, while the other group received negative speech therapy, criticised for every single imperfection and told they were stutterers. By the end of the experiment the children who before had had no problems with their speech now did, and 3 of the 5 children who already had stutters were considerably worse.…

In this paper I will discuss the pros and cons of each research method with respect to both a new product launch and a revised product launch. I will also explain why there are different research needs for a new product versus a re-launch. Most research can be divided into two categories. “Primary research can be defined as research designed and conducted by the person or group originating the request” (Primary Research, 2012). “Secondary research can be defined as utilizing existing research data gathered by an external source (Secondary Research, 2012). There are a wide variety of information-gathering techniques. The various data collection methods are mail surveys, telephone surveys, face to face surveys, and focus groups. The product I that I will focus on will be a new vehicle to determine which research method works the best. One must first decide what the research question is and then decide what data or variables are needed to scientifically answer the question to provide the best results for the product.…
