STUDY GUIDE
FOR EXAM #1 (MIDTERM EXAM)
TUESDAY, October 6, 2009 — 3:00 P.M. SHARP*

75 items (2 points each: possible total = 150 points) — 50 minutes

*If you come to the exam after even just ONE student has completed the exam and left the room, we cannot let you take this exam (and you will have 75 points deducted from your total course points)
— SO BE ON TIME!

You also cannot leave the exam and return to complete it
— so use the rest rooms PRIOR to starting this 50-minute exam.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SHARPENED #2 PENCIL(S) AND AN ERASER
(& A SHARPENER, IF YOU’LL NEED ONE; 0UR ROOM DOESN’T HAVE ONE).

YOU MUST ALSO BRING YOUR ASU PHOTO I.D. WITH YOUR AFFILIATE NUMBER.

Study the “Instructions for Taking Exams in EDC-117” and “Sample of the Form of the Test Items”
— posted on the “EXAM INFO” link on our class Blackboard.

I've posted this Study Guide as a WORD document, so you can type your answers and notes right into it, or you can add extra lines if you prefer to hand-write your answers and notes.
To make it easier, I’ve posted the content by Chapter, together with related discussions and documents.

Exams cover assigned textbook reading, postings, lectures, discussions, guests, videos, etc. This Study Guide offers some key questions for your consideration as you complete your study for Exam #1. This list is not exhaustive, but it covers the majority of what you will find for the subjects we have covered.

You will not be asked “tricky” or “picky” questions. However, you DO have to have studied the material and paid attention during class. This is a 400-level course, and students are expected to perform at this level.

Remember that you don’t have to MEMORIZE everything, because you do not have to write out any responses in essay form. Instead, you must be able to discriminate between TRUE & FALSE statements as well as select correct responses
