Context
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives. Within the UK, the British Red Cross operates through about 3000 staff and over 30,000 volunteers. Geographically, the UK is organised into 22 areas, which are grouped into 4 Territories.
Scope
The post holder will co-ordinate the therapeutic care service in South Yorkshire.
Overall Purpose of the Post
Provide co-ordination and supervision of the service and volunteers. To ensure a high standard of service delivery in the provision of the service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
> Co-ordinate the service on a day-to-day basis.
> To operate the service, providing support, leadership and motivation to the Team Support Workers and volunteers.
> Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with Red Cross policies and procedures.
