Leader who gets the common goal achieved by willingness of his followers, is the leader with difference. Here are some of the common important elements of a leader by which he can influence his followers.
Intelligence - An intelligent leader always know his followers nicely. He leads by giving his personal examples. He studies the target given to the team. Then, he involves all his team members to seek for the best plan to achieve the target in a given time. He communicates and navigates the discussion in such a way that all the team members decide willingly the best plan. Most of the time, the leader had already the best plan in mind, but he conducts the discussion for the involvement of his team members. In this way, he may get a better plan.

A leader should have the knowledge / information to take the decision first.

No problem or condition will stay in front of such leaders. He will have the solution for every problem. This quality influences the followers.
