Contrast and Comparison Essay “Preventive medicine”

There are many problems in the world. Each country has its own political and economical problems no matter how it is developed. Also there are issues that affects entire world, like global warming, “doomsday”, economical crisis and etc. Nowadays different governments start to pay their attention on another problem – people’s health because country cannot be without people. There are some big differences in medical problems between developed and developing country such as England and Kazakhstan. The only same thing is the health problems; there are the same in both countries. For example, diseases related to air pollution. Poor air quality is linked to respiratory illness, heart disease and asthma, conditions which can dramatically lower life expectancy. Air pollution is a trigger for asthma. This type of asthma is known as "occupational asthma," as it is a result of working in a particularly contaminated area. The majority of the KZ population resides in areas around or near industrial centers because of the job opportunities offered in these areas. About 1/3 of these enterprises have no sanitary zones meeting size standards. Air pollution is a contributor to lung cancer, particularly in people who grew up in areas with significant air pollution. Accumulation of small particles from the air in the lungs can lead to cancerous growth, and air pollution has been determined to raise the risk of lung cancer as much as second-hand smoke. Britain's filthy air kills 50,000 people a compared with fewer than 2,000 deaths a year from road accidents. My hometown - Almaty - is in the list of 20 most polluted cities in the world on ninth place. Another big problem is high obesity rate.
