Personal Goals as a University Student Essay Example
Personal goals are a very important part of my life personally, professionally and as a student at the University of Phoenix. Goals are the milestones to an outcome that may determine success or failure in all areas of my life. Every year I will act as a freshman even though I am a sophomore at this University. Keeping the freshmen mentality inspires those goals fresh in my head with the passion of learning I desire.

The most important goal I need to obtain as a student at the university is to be able to sustain and maintain time management effectively. I use my Palm Life Drive as my tool so I am able to complete tasks on time as well as import those required reading assignments due for that next week. My Palm Life Drive has been advised by many different websites in accordance to time management. Similar to the book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" Categories range from "Q1-Important and Urgent to Not Important and Not Urgent. Implementing these categories enables me to spend time on the most important issues at that time preventing future negative consequences.

I will also need to be more familiar with my school in all aspects in order to know what is expected and required of me as a student at the university. Reading and asking any questions about the Guidelines, restrictions, rules and regulations is the ultimate guide in order to gradate. It is also important to know the teacher's expectation of the class and you as an individual. I want to be able to get an A in this class so I will need to get the courage to ask questions as much as possible. Our group assignments are a big impact on my grade as a whole in that class. It is also important to know your role in the group and as a individual.

Maintaining a study and group time schedule will be the foundation to this class and all classes until I graduate from the university. Personally, I spend at least 1 hour a day on school to keep myself in touch with my current

There are many types of goals. Growing up, I always dreamed of being two things: a mother and a nurse. I am blessed to have two wonderful children ages 14 and 16 and have had the privilege of being able to be a stay-at-home mom during their younger years. Now that they are older and a bit more independent, I have decided to go back to school and fulfill my goal of earning my degree in Nursing. Throughout the years of growing and maturing, I have learned how important it is to have good morals, values, goals, a passion for something, and a good education. I have not only taught my children the importance of these characteristics, but I have also shown them that regardless of one’s age or stage in life, that…

I’m attending Monterey Peninsula college on a short-term basis Until I transfer to a four year university. Education in my family has never been an option and I have always been pushed to further my education. I myself value my education because it will enhance my knowledge of whatever career I decide to pursue. Learning in general to me has always been important, I love discovering things I’ve never been introduced to or heard of before. Like Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. I chose to attend MPC to explore my options and figure out what career I want to pursue. One of my short-term education goals is to get good grades in all of my classes this semester (my first semester of college) and to create my ideal career plan. A long-term goal of mine is to complete all of my…

In Eliyahu Goldratt’s novel “The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement”, he tells a story about a man going through hard times, in both his work life and personal life. Alex works in a manufacturing plant that is barely staying afloat, and his boss has left it up to him to keep the business running with a three-month time span to do it in. These events may have caused some people to feel hopeless, but they motivated me to make some life changes. I’d say one of my short term academic goal would be to graduate high school in the “Top Ten” of my class. The next thing I would do would be to go college, and earn a B.S. either in health science or psychology with an emphasis in a physician’s assistant or a program designed for aspiring physician assistants. It depends on the college I would attend. I would then apply to a graduate school where I would receive a Master’s degree, learn how to care for patients, and then take the certification test to become a physician’s assistant.…
