I believe that the second amendment, the right to keep and bear arms, has been the most important in protecting citizens from possible governmental abuse because this amendment assures that citizens will always have a way of defending themselves against any risks or threats to their freedom. This amendment is a reminder to the government that they cannot and should not try to stop citizens from having the right to bear arms. I chose this right because I believe that without the second amendment the first amendment would not really make much sense because without the right to bear arms would mean citizens does not have the right to their freedom either. If the second amendment was taken away it would have such an enormous and negative impact on society. The crime rate would increase drastically because the criminals would know unquestionably that citizens are not able to defend their selves. The second amendment also gives citizens a similarity to have with the government, because officers are given the right to bear arms no matter what, and some cops use this amendment to their advantage so having protection should be the citizens right. This amendment has affected me personally because I have witnessed my aunt putting it into good use after she went through the proper training to obtain her legal license to bear arms. Someone broke into her house a while back without killing the robber she shot him in the left knee to assure that he would be caught by the cops. Her right to bear arms came into good use because if there was no such thing as a second amendment, she would have not been able to defend herself from the perpetrator who entered her home.

The Second Amendment is the most important and relevant amendment of the Constitution. The second amendment was established on December 15, 1791. If people didn’t have the right to bear arms, there would be no use for the other amendments. Such as; the Fourteenth Amendment. The Fourteenth Amendment gives the people the rights of a citizen. Taking away gun rights messes with the rights of a citizen. Also, the Fifth Amendment states the rights of a person. So gun control is violating the Fifth Amendment also. The Second Amendment states that the right to bear arms cannot be taken. Yet, people are trying to take gun rights away anyway.…

No other amendments in the United States Constitution has caused as much controversy as the Second Amendment. The amendment states that the people of America are allowed to bare arms and maintain a well regulated militia. This has caused a lot of controversy and issues with gun control in recent years. The Second Amendment should be amended in order to have more rules, regulations, and provide a safer America for people. People in favor of guns suggest that there is a need for guns for all citizens to protect people from the government. However, violence is a large issue today with guns and weapons. The Founding Father’s were building America with a more liberal perspective that envisioned a free society where individuals protected their own property and person with minimal interference from the government. In today’s society America has built a stronger military and police force where people do not need as many weapons in their homes with such high power.…

For my second amendment I chose amendment #2 Right to Bear Arms. The Right to Bear Arms means that you are able to own and carry firearms with you. When our founding fathers were writing the Bill of Rights, they deemed it necessary to put into place an amendment that protected the common man. This amendment defends his right to self preservation, and helps deter a tyrannical government. In modern America, the second amendment is constantly under fire (pun intended). The liberal left seeks to take away the second amendment, whilst the conservative right seeks to strengthen it. These heated debates have sparked a lot of controversy, and arguments both for and against it. I think that the notion of repealing the second amendment is blasphemous, and that it is, in actuality, .the most important amendment, we have today because it allows citizens to protect themselves and their property, will dissuade any overstepping government or invasionary force, and it allows people to continue their varied lifestyles across the nation.…

There has always been a debate about weather the 1st amendment is more important Than the 2nd amendment. In this article I will be talking about why I think the 2nd amendment is more important than the 1st, the reason I believe the 2nd amendment is more important is that it allows us to bear arms, this means we are allowed to own weapons such as guns, knives, brass knuckles, etc... Also even if the 1st amendment didn’t exist we would still have the rights to own a gun or other lethal weapons in use of protection, so in other words even through the 1st amendment…

“The Second Amendment is unnecessary and should be repealed” a fair statement and one that I strongly agree with. The second amendment states that all man has the right to bear arms or own a gun. In July 4,1776 North America got its independence from the British Empire. Next our founding fathers came together and created the Bill of Rights. During the eighteenth century America was a young and newly independent country. In the 1770s they needed to demonstrate their strength as a country. Also, Americans were driven to protect their lands from countries that have a stronger government and army. But in this century,America is a stronger country with a very strong army and government. Considering that American now has a strong military with…

The implementation of the second amendment serves as a means to protect oneself against governmental tyranny. Gun ownership gives citizens the power to check governmental and police abuses. Due to increased violation of this very amendment citizens have allowed for the second amendment to be under scrutiny for further adjustments. Why should certain rights be under stricter governmental control without completely taking those rights away? People who abuse those rights make it difficult for the law abiding citizens to lead lives with less fear. Stricter laws and regulations will decrease the number of crimes. A survey taken in 2010 shows that Roughly 16,272 murders were committed in the United States. Of these, about 10,886 or 67% were committed with firearms. As of 2012 neighborhoods have seen an increase in crime rates in the States that allow for concealed permit handgun holders. A recent incident involving two neighbors involved in a shooting where both individuals were killed by the other in a confrontation. Both had the right to carry a concealed weapon and both died by that same right. To improve on such happenings such as this, government laws and restrictions will bring down if not take away incidents such as these where people are not only misusing their rights but making it…
