According to Sarkar.N.(2008) Newsletter is defined as a small publication (as a leaflet or newspaper) containing news of interest based to a special group, that publication. For example Organizations news letters ie Tanzania Public Service College, programme news letter ie Femina Talk Show programme.
It is used as a publication (periodical, pamphlet etc) that gets circulated out to its subscribers after a regular time interval. On writing newsletter you make sure the follow the following rules:- 1. You must consider your audience. It is important to consider the audience because will help you know what content you need print for your newsletter.
In this you must take a time in researching what would your audience need to know and interest them? For example an audience made up of women you want be interested in a detailed article explaining how your product works, they will be interested in knowing how this superior product will help them feel better and what problems it will solve.

2. You must Research your information. In finding any content to give your audience you must do research. Without research, you may put wrong information and mislead your audience. This will include facts, statistics, expert opinions, and quotes to prove the validity of your research. Just make sure to give the source (magazine, website, book) and the name of the expert who provided the information.

3. You must Choose your content .Topics and sections will make your newsletter more interesting to many readers

It is important to know who your audience is and the level of ability and interest in the chosen subject to be presented. For example, At Traplet the editor will need to know a detailed description about the figures, feedback and ideas. The editors interest would be very high due to it being their magazine and interest/hobby. The accounts department would only want to know the figures. Their interest in content and marketing strategies would be low as the hobby and magazine content doesn’t affect their job. Knowing the audience for whom you are presenting to is very important as you do not want to exceed your audience’s level of interest, there mind will wonder and you won’t get your information across the way you want it to.…

News (press) releases are objective stories written in newspaper style to inform media gatekeepers about various promotions. Gatekeepers discard more than 90 percent of the news releases they receive, so a release should be newsworthy, timely, and hold the interest of readers. Additionally, an effective news release should maintain a local focus and not be overly promotional, which displeases most journalists. The news release should be printed on an organization’s stationery (3-point collateral piece) and begin with the heading: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE and the composition date. Contact information data should be shown in the heading. A news release headline is written in the same style as newspaper headlines, and the entire text of the news release should be no more than two pages, one page being ideal. News releases can be sent electronically via distribution services for a high-number impact.…

If my intended audience believes my message does not apply to them then they may lose interest and be less inclined to pay attention. By adapting ones communication skills to that of the needs of the…
