“Consequences of differentiated leadership in groups”

individual • Group-­‐focused leadership: Leader behaves similarly to different members of

The study addresses the issue of whether leaders should adopt a

dual-­‐focus leadership style Research Ques+ons: • Does differen*ated leadership dampen group effec*veness as a consequence of divergence in group member experience? • What are the underlying mechanisms through which differen*ated leadership may reduce group effec*veness? I.

Inves*gates mechanisms through which differen*ated leadership may reduce group effec*veness II. Contributes to the study of transforma*onal leadership as the construct is being broken down in behavioral components III. Both group and individual-­‐focused leadership is examined at the group-­‐ level  Allows us to examine the effect of both on group performance
