I Strongly Believe That As A Nurse Educ

I strongly believe that as a nurse educator, I will continue to be a nurse advocate. The educational program accomplish the goal to create awareness for the CP’s in their role on patient daily weight. I believe that the relationships build among mentor, peers, and all members of the health team evidence the accomplishment of another student outcome where I was able apply ethical principles and values. As an example, expectations and agreement signed with my mentor validated ethical principle used during the development of the practicum project. It also demonstrated and value importance of building optimal practice environment to benefit patient and the organization I work for. In the practicum project, I applied and incorporated the concepts of person, environment, health and nursing, which fit in Roy’s Adaptation model (Nursing Theory, 2013). This theory helped to understand how the care of the patient is interrelated with the environment, person, and health in the practicum hospital setting. Health concept in the practicum helped to understand unexpected outcomes that affect patient. Person concept was applied to patients and to evaluate them holistically. The nursing concept in Roy’s model was applied to CP’s role in regard patient daily weight. It aims to understand that CP’s role on this regard could have a tremendous impact in patient outcomes. These concepts were considering as framework to develop the educational program to enhance patient outcome. Evaluating the student’s outcomes with my learning experience, I can conclude that those were applied and incorporated into the practicum project. Students learning outcomes applicability in the practicum project offered an outline of the important components needed to make changes in the nursing profession.
