I AM LOSING CONFIDENCE
In this essay, I would like to discuss about the topic “I am losing confidence”. First of all, what is confidence? Confidence is a feeling that makes you think that you are capable of doing something with ease and calmness. It will make you feel optimistic and pleased with yourself. But on the other hand, losing confidence means that you are losing faith or belief in yourself. Each and every one of us was born with a confident sense of self, but how did we manage to lose it and how do we get it back? These are urgent questions because in our complicated world the demand for self-confidence confronts us at every turn. There are many reasons why people often lose confidence towards oneself. One of the reasons is that you are surrounded with people who you do not like or people who you are intimidate with. Sometimes there are people in your life who love to see you fail. Almost everyone has someone involved in their life who just seems to drag them down and makes them lose confidence in themselves as a result of either what they say or what they do. Setting unrealistic goals and targets for yourself is also a very common method in which people lose confidence. In a high pressured situation, one should not set unrealistic goals and targets as it will only make you feel very down when you failed, even though you know that the target is unrealistic. When it happen, you will lose your confidence easily. Last but not least, fear is a very common factor in which people will lose their confidence. It can be fear to almost anything. This is because fear can often lead to stress, and stress in turn can cause people to lose confidence. Fear can also lead you to doubt yourself and also may result in you not doing things that previously made you confident, such as taking on new challenges.
