Did you know that 23 percent of Facebook users check their account 5 or more times daily? Facebook is just one of the many social networks used by people all over the globe. It has become a way to connect with people unlike ever before. Social Media has become such a big part of Society that it is expected of us to use at least one. But how beneficial is social media really? Statistics show that an ordinary person spends an average of 7 hours and 45 minutes on social networks during a period of one month Those hours could have been spent doing something productive such as exercising or reading a book. Time is precious and it should not be wasted on unnecessary activities. Although Social Media sites such as twitter and Facebook may be helpful, but they re far more harmful, because of the arising issue of cyber bullying across the web especially on social media and all the reoccurring cases of mistaken identity that have disrupted let alone ruin the lives of many people.
