Standing Committees
1. COMMITTEE ON RULES AND PRIVILEGES:-
Functions:
1. Responsible for everything relating to the Rules of Procedure of the Sangguniang Panlungsod;
2. To prepare, provide or adopt the Calendar, agenda, order and manner of transacting business in the regular session, special sessions of the Sangguniang Panlungsod;
3. To propose reorganization of the Standing Committees and creation of new committees;
4. Perform such other functions as the Sangguniang Panlungsod may adopt.
2. BLUE RIBBON AND ADMINISTRATIVE CASES COMMITTEE:-
Functions:
1. Formulate rules and regulations on matters pertaining to and in relation with the conduct of investigation of complaints and charges of disorderly conduct affecting the Sangguniang Panlungsod and its members;
2. Formulate rules and procedures in the conduct of hearing and decide administrative cases filed against elective barangay officials pursuant to the provisions of RA 7160;
3. Investigate complaints and charges against employees of the LGU when such charges have a direct bearing with ordinances and resolutions passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Reports and recommendations on these investigations shall be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for their information and appropriate action;
4. Study and recommend policies and procedures for proper, judicious and effective implementation of Rules which will discourage, minimize and eradicate Graft and Corruption, abuse of authority and inefficiency in government service;
5. Perform such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
3. COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS:-
Functions:
1. Responsible for the study and review of Annual Budget Proposal for submission to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for approval, and the subsequent submission to the Department of Budget and Management;
2. Study and recommend policies and procedures for the proper, judicious, and effective implementation of appropriation measures and/or
