Team Building Worksheet

1. Describe team members’ results on the Discovery Wheel and Develop your multiple intelligences exercises. What similarities and differences exist within the team?

Based on our team submission for the assignment of the Discovery Wheel, our team at some points, were in the same rim of thinking. In other areas, we were so far apart in how we place what we value in our lives. In the area of Thinking, Diversity and Attitudes our team was within a four point difference, which means we share and hold the same values in those areas. In the other areas, our team scoring ranges are far off from each other, showing no consistency in our scoring. The scores were either two in the same range of scoring or three to one in other areas. For example, our Reading and Test scores were from a range of as high as 38 to as low as 13. The wide difference in scores indicate that we have a team that clearly views some areas in the same spectrum and other area we couldn’t be so far apart on how we value certain aspects of our lives.

I believe that the scores given are based on where people are at in their lives at this given time. If the same people took the Discovery Wheel activity at a different time, some scores would change . However, I also believe that there are some traits in the activity that would remain consistent no matter when the scores are tallied. This is why I believe the scores differ in ranges and show the similarities in others. We have people, who are in different stages in their lives, evidence by the ranges in the scores from the Discovery Wheel exercise.

2. What are the advantages of having diversity on a team? What challenges might the team face because of diversity?

There are many advantages to having diversity on a team, a team made up of people from different cultures, ages and religious group can bring different ideas an different ways of solving the same problem where as a

Interpolation and extrapolation is the process used to derive AE scores. This is not an accurate representation of scores. It is an educated manipulation of numbers based on examinees and applied into a CA score graph. The scorers plot the AE scores into a graph developed by estimating information and not collecting data from those given the test. This leads to a further concern of scores not representing a standard to compare examinee’s results. The lack of a standardization does not give equal intervals to compare progress or a mean between…

There are many types of diversity in the world today, and no one person can understand all facets that the word diversity holds. By understanding the positive and the negative impact on a group, as an individual and in the groups people work and play with they can open their minds to the possibilities of what diverseness in an organization, team and individual can achieve. They 're the source of our strength." One way to embrace diversity in a team is to identify what has the greatest impact on the effectiveness of that team. In this paper the members of this learning team will discuss how the occupations of each learning team member define their role on the team, why religion should be kept separate but the ethics one has should be applied in the team setting, what role gender plays in communication and that differences in sexual orientations in a…
