Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill My family and I love to go out to eat and spend quality time with each other. Applebee’s Bar and Grill is one of our favorite places to go. We try to eat there at least once a month. We go to the restaurant located in Meridian, Mississippi. It is not a fancy restaurant. However, it is a place where people of all ages can enjoy good food, drinks, and laughter. The ambiance is very relaxed and laid back. This is a family environment that caters to all five senses. First, when I was walking into the restaurant I noticed the red and green neon lights outside the building. When you walk into the restaurant, you are greeted with a smile. While we were being seated, you can see tables with plates of delectable food to eat. Also, the host or hostess, dressed in all black, greets you welcomes you by saying “Welcome to Applebee’s.” Laughter fills the room while families enjoy the conversations of one another. The scent of fresh food cooking hits you once you enter into the facility. Next, while sitting inside the leather booth, I got an opportunity to read over the menu. There were so many different menu items that I wanted to try. While trying to decide what I wanted to eat I was sipping on an iced cold Sprite to cleanse my palates. While waiting for our food to arrive, I saw a new born baby. The baby had a nasalized type of cry. Also, a group of teenagers came into the restaurant. They were very noisy. Finally, our appetizer arrived. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip. As we began eating, the entire table was quiet, and all you could her was the annoying sound of silverware hitting the other patron’s plate. Finally, our dinner had arrived. I ordered the chicken tenders with French fries, honey mustard sauce, and ketchup. My meal was highly pleasing. While sitting there eating, my oldest son saw the bursting flames from the grill inside the kitchen. Also, there was a set of twin boys celebrating their seventh birthday. So,

The clattering of plates and the clicking of heels on a tile floor are the white noise of the restaurant. Kitchen partners rush to get the next salad ready, the next steak cooking. The expeditors keep the restaurant working smoothly, the source of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. A business partner shouts “Corner!” as she rounds the bend between the kitchen and the hallway leading to the general area of the restaurant. Two servers see each other for the first time during their shift and exchange a quick “How are you?” without stopping long enough to hear the reply of their co-worker. A manager explains the goals of the evening to a group of distracted employees in the pass-through, watching a rush of customers enter through the double glass doors. The restaurant lifestyle is a unique discourse with success resulting from the quality of customer service and understanding the value of time-saving efficiency.…

What’s better to chill out a hot summer’s day than something sweet and cool? No, I am not talking about a Popsicle. I am not talking about an ice cream cone, either. I am not even talking about iced tea or lemonade. It is something better than all of those, and it doesn’t even have all the sneaky calories of those other tasty treats! The answer to the question is simple. Have you guessed it? It is a cherry.…

The sliding glass doors swish open as I walk near them. As I walk in to inside, the volume of sound changes. I can hear people chattering and kids screaming. I can smell the food court's hamburgers, chicken, and pizza, as well. The smell lures me in, guiding my nose towards the enticing scents. When you walk by the Chinese place, Panda Express, passes out free samples of teriyaki chicken. It tastes sweet and tender, causing your mouth to salivate. The free samples satisfy my taste buds making me want more. I let them taunt me into buying food. Walking around, the different smells seize my nose, bringing different feel to each restaurant.…

Last weekend, I went to Suwanee, GA to see my father and stepmother because it had recently been my stepmother's birthday. In celebration we chose to dine out at a restaurant called Gulf Coast Grill. It was the first time my family had eaten at the restaurant, but will not be the last. Once stepping inside, I knew it was going to be interesting because the restaurant had a very strong beach theme as well as a live band playing. After being told it was going to be a fifteen to twenty minute wait, I was surprised when our table was called after less than ten. The restaurant experience was already off to a good start, and only continued to get better.…

I am an avid restaurateur, as neither my wife nor I like to cook, and we are always seeking out new locations for great food. Recently, a fellowship opportunity opened up for Sara, my wife, in Atlanta Georgia, which has widened our restaurant selection from what we had here in Oklahoma City. Although there are many great restaurants here, none have the greatness that we have found at Bones Restaurant. Great Atmosphere, great food, and great personalities have rated Bone’s Restaurants as one of the greatest dining establishments that we have been to.…

Immediately upon walking through the difficult to open double doors, the staunch odor of excessive butter fills my nostrils and causes me to ponder vomiting. A nacho cheese type stench mixes with the butter giving me an image of clogged arteries and high blood pressure. The candy behind the glass counter further adds to the 'heart attack waiting to happen' aura of this place. An air conditioning vent at the top of the wall is located perfectly in front of the bench I sit on and constantly blasts me in the face causing me to feel frigid. The horrific fabric on the bench feels like sandpaper. The voices of the dozens of people around me create a decibel level that…

When my stomach is growling with hunger and my friends ask where I want to eat, without a moment‘s hesitation I reply, “Olive Garden!” My favorite restaurant to dine at is the Olive Garden. The Olive Garden restaurant is a well known corporate chain of restaurants that offers a wide variety of Italian dishes. It is a mid-priced, causal restaurant specializing in Italian food. I love the experience of dining at the Olive Garden because the atmosphere is welcoming, the Italian Entrees are scrumptious, and the service is excellent. A particular visit last month proved to me that Olive Garden lives up to the expectations of its guests.…

For my entire career, I have traveled far and wide, giving my opinion of the food at a variety of unique, cultural, and astonishing restaurants. Some of my reviews have been fantastic, others atrocious, but the John Adams Cafe Cafeteria was the finest culinary experience I have ever had. As I strolled into the enormous restaurant called the John Adams Cafe Cafeteria, I was immediately impressed. The modern style of the dining area gave an impression of luxury and royalty. A waiter instantly greeted me with a warming welcome, a massive smile on his face, and was jubilant to take my order. The walls were adorned with decorative paintings that probably cost a lot of money. The ceiling was decorated with gigantic golden chandeliers, and the dark wooden floor was superbly polished and cleaned. In the background, lovely jazz music was playing, making the establishment seem classy. I ordered my meal with quickly, and in just ten minutes my food was handed to me on a silver platter, and scooped onto a fancy plate, my drink and silverware off to the side on the polished wooden table. It was time to enjoy.…

Virginia Irene Dill has raised many children, and that makes her the strongest person I know.
