Corrective Training Essay Example on Shaving Discipline Clean Uniform and Being on Time
Thousand word essay

Accountabilities is one of the fundamental of the military. It only brings personal responsibility but it also shows organization of a unit. There are many reasons why being on time is important. The US Army depends solely on its soldiers, enlisted. Warrant officers, and commissioned officers alike. The military would not be anything without the soldiers. When soldiers aren’t there to perform there duties or they are late then the unit looses efficiency. Time management is a very large part of successful, military or civilian. Many people could improve there lives drasticly if they knew how to manage the time properly. Setting priorities is a very important step in time management. If your priorities aren’t set in order then you won’t get the important things done in a timely manner. People often go over there time limits because they are optimistic, like for instance when I was late coming back from lunch I was being optimistic about the cab being able to be right there when it was time to come back from lunch and I was wrong. Discipline we are taught early in our military careers that shaving is an important part of our daily routine. The routine itself promotes a sense of regularity and discipline. By being assigned a task that we are to perform daily, we assume a pattern of living comparable with many other (and often larger) tasks given to us. When a part of our job considered to be mandatory becomes a task performed out of second nature, we begin to perform all duties in a similar fashion. If you can shave every morning without having to be reminded or told, you may find that it comes just as naturally to take out the trash, write a monthly counseling statement, or maintain your weapon. I am writing this thousand word essay on discipline, being on time, and shaving. The importance of pride in ones uniform. I have to write this essay because I do not have pride in my uniform. Disciple is what keeps the army and its ranks from going

what is the importance of uniformity ,dress right dress, and discipline in the army? the importance of uniformity is to make everyone become and look equal. there are no differences between us, no separation because we are all a team. what is the point of uniformity, when a whole platoon is uniformed it shows discipline and being in uniform is one of the things that is part of the foundation of the army. Without uniformity there cannot be discipline, and then it turns into a chain reaction and destroying the foundation of the army. being in uniformity shows soldiers how they can do things together and how working together, we as people can do anything we want to accomplish. it also teaches soldiers that uniformity also shows responsibility that when things are disorganized nothing ever gets done, but when there are no differences holding back from completing the mission anything can be done 110%. Everything needs to also have discipline without having the discipline to fix something that is out of place when you know that it needs to be fix then everything would be jacked up. For example, if it were not for my leadership to keep us awake all night, night before the inspection cleaning everything making sure that everyone was truly dress right dress, checking all the wall lockers and bed display we may vary would have not passed the inspection on our own. the reason I say that for is because we all come from different up brings, some were taught discipline and others were brought up spoiled and had everything done for them and or never had anyone there to teach them how to keep thing neat or responsibility to make sure rules are completed 110%. when every is dress right dress it eliminates the difference that people have, it eliminates jealousy, deformity and also our disabilities and everything separates us from being the same. in the army, during our training we have to learn to put all of our differences aside and push through together through…

I am writing this essay as a plan of action because I managed to miss a scheduled appointment. Missing a scheduled appointment may seem like a rather minute infraction but if you think about it and trace it back far enough it has a negative impact on all parties involved it effects the army as a whole, the government, tax dollars, every American and possible most of the population of the planet even if they don’t know it or feel an impact from it on some level even if insignificant it effects civilization as a whole.…

The purpose of Army Regulation 670-1 as stated in chapter 1 paragraph 1-1 is as follows. “This regulation prescribes the authorization for wear, composition, and classification of uniforms, and the occasions for wearing all personal, (clothing bag issue), optional, and commonly worn organizational Army uniforms. It also prescribes the awards, insignia, and accouterments authorized for wear on the uniform, and how these items are worn. General information is also provided on the authorized material, design, and uniform quality control system.” The book answer to the purpose of the regulation only goes so far. If you look further into the regulation it states that the United States Army is a uniformed service that is judged, in part, by the way a soldier wears their uniform. This being said, if a soldier wears their uniform in a manner which is not clean and neat in appearance, and portrays the army poorly, the members of the United States Army would be viewed in a poor and undisciplined manner. Whereas if the members of the United States Army hold themselves to a higher standard, and maintain a neat and clean appearance, the members of the uniformed service will be viewed by the outside world as an organization which personifies what discipline is supposed to be. While we are on the subject of discipline, I think it would be good to explore it and it’s relation to the importance of Army Regulation 670-1. Discipline is one of the cornerstones of the United States Army. Discipline can set you above and beyond everyone else, and it can help you excel in everything you do. What is…

Correctional Essay on Importance of meeting the standards set by AR 670-1. A soldier is a professional and an expert at all times, Because of this his uniform haircut and general hygiene is held to a professional standard. AR 670-1 is the ruling of this standard in which every soldier must uphold to. A soldier is measured by his/her ability to do his job successfully, tactfully, and professionally. The key to doing a job as a professional is a professional appearance, none know this as much as the Army. In the Army, the regulation that dictates what to look like while on duty is the AR 670-1; this provides an SOP on what to wear and how to groom for both males and females alike. When a job is done for the Army, the soldier is responsible to uphold the Army standards and is challenged to excel in his duties and a substandard looking soldier will never excel in the aforementioned. I’ll start off the main part of the essay by saying that a good portion of what is written in this essay is knowledge from AR 670-1 Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia. A male soldier is responsible for keeping his hair in regulation, that is no longer than 4 inches and off the collar and ears, his facial hair is also subjected stating that unless on profile from and Army Physician, the soldier is responsible for having a clean shave every morning and every day for the duration of his career. Failure to do so is grounds for either a warning from his first line supervisor, a negative counseling form, or even be subject to UCMJ action by his superiors. The requirement for hair grooming standards is necessary to maintain uniformity within a military population. Many hairstyles are acceptable, as long as they are neat and conservative. It is not possible to address every acceptable hairstyle, or what constitutes eccentric or conservative grooming. Therefore, it is the responsibility of leaders at all levels to exercise good…

    Acoutability

The importance of being on time accounted for is because lets say that you dont come back to formation after you go out on a convoy then they know that you are missing. If you do not show up and you do not respond on the radio there is going to possibly be a search team for you. If they do send a search team for then that puts that entire team at risk while looking for you. Point of accountability formation is to make sure all of your soldiers are there and that they are all accounted for. If one person is not accounted for then the entire formation does not leave. It is not just the fact that everyone is accounted for it is part of your military duty to be at formation and at movement. If you do not make it to formation or movement it is punishable by UCMJ. It could be the end of your carrer. Not only will it ruin everything that you have gone through and wasted your time but you are also letting your battels down and if you can not show up to formation what makes you think that they can trust you in being there in the time of need. If you can not be there then what is your team going to think when they hear over the radio that you are on the way and you are the only one that can help them. They are going to be like what that is the only person we have well we are al good as dead. Accountablility does not end in the army life it also goes into civilian world. When you have a job in the civilian world they are looking for someone that be on time and do the job but the second that you are not on time your accountabliity starts to go down the drain. Not only is accountability good tohave in the work place but at home. If your family can not count on you then who can they count on? Accountability is also important with your friends if they feel that they can count on you and for some reason you give them a reason to not count od you that could be a relationship killer. I just do not know how to put it into a essay how important accountability is. If you cannot be…

"I will always maintain my equipment and myself, I am an expert and a professional." Those two lines are from the soldiers creed. As soldiers we were instilled with this creed and were trained to follow this creed to the fullest of our abilities. From E-1 all the way to O-9 we follow the creed with everything we have. By living, breathing, and forming us around this in basic training we become professionals as a soldier. Then in Advanced Individual Training they teach us to be professionals in our MOS. Such as being an ordnance soldier in our creed "I will be tactically and technically proficient." Being under an ordnance MOS we live and breath that creed also with the soldiers creed.…

This essay I am going to write is about the importance of accountability in the army, and as to how it affects the unit’s mission. First off by definition "Accountability is important in the military because soldiers are often times required to perform extremely challenging duties and services. Without accountability, a soldier cannot be expected to meet these high demands and expectations". Being accountable means being in the right place at the right time, being in the proper duty uniform, being dependable and always arriving to work on time, appointments on time and most importantly doing the right thing at the right time and all the time. One of the most important parts about being accountable is so that you do not miss any important information that you could use. The first formation of the day is one of the most important formations of the day because that is where all information is put out for the week, day, and even month. Being accountable also means that everyone knows where you are at all times, not just you taking care of you but everyone you work with being able to get in contact with you at all times of the day just in case they need too. The last formation is also just as important due to the fact the information that was put out at first formation can change and if you are not there for the change in information, you could show up at the wrong place or in the wrong uniform. So it is always important that you are either there or if you cannot make it there or to any of your appointments and other personal area, you need to make sure that you contact your supervisor. Unless you cannot get ahold of them then you need to contact someone to let them know of anytime that you’re not able to make an appointment or are going to be late somewhere. Accountability does not only affect you, it also affects every single person that you come into contact…

As services members, military bearing is a vast assortment of rules and ethics that govern our every day life. For instance, a clean and presentable uniform, knowing ones facing movements, how to respectively address a senior officer, as well as being prompt for either General Quarters, quarters, or watch. The Importance of Shaving

    • 539 Words
    • 3 Pages

It is very important to be shaved every day when reporting to work for many reasons. One of the reasons why it is important to shave every day is so you will keep that professional look that you need while serving in the army. If we do not shave, we look improper and look as if we do not care about hygiene. It is something we have to do every day to look like professional soldiers. Coming in to work with an unshaven face detracts from a professional military appearance. Another reason for shaving every day is that we keep our uniformity. Shaving every day like a soldier should and being at the right place at the right time has a great impact on your fellow subordinate soldiers. I, as a specialist, need to keep to the standard to be an example towards the soldiers with a lower rank than I. Coming in with a fresh shaven face shows my peers that I care about my career and the military standards. By doing this, I can show them that I am a professional soldier that they can look up to. They and others will realize that I am executing my duties as a soldier, and hopefully they will do the same as I.…

Everyday you go to work there is somebody that you answer to who assigns you your tasks for the day. When assigned duties, those tasks you are given a time or window of time of when they should be done. When that task does not get completed on time it looks bad on you and it could slow up or mess up the progress made by the rest of your unit cause every job is vital in the success of your unit. For example if I am told to do a complete PMCS on our truck by the book and repair it by the end of the week in order for it to go on a mission and I just decide to take my time and not get it done then we are down one truck that could have been carrying troops and supplies now there is a good chance the mission will not be accomplished because of laziness. Even though you may not understand why you are given a certain deadline you need to Having things done in a timely manner is essential to unit readiness. For example, preparing for deployments. Before any unit can deploy, they need to be ready to deploy. Having the tasks done in a timely manner (ie doing preventative maintenance on trucks and generators and air-conditioning units) need to be done pre-deployment. Any kind of gear, whether motors or utilities in our motor pool need to be fixed in maintained so that our unit readiness can be maintained. Even though you may not understand why you are given a timeline it is important to do what you are told in the time given because you know that there is a reason behind it. Throughout your career in the Army you are going to be given orders and tasks and even if they may seem pointless or they do not make sense you need to look at the big picture and weigh what are the consequences or who does this effect by not doing what you are told in the time given. Doing things in a timely manner is important because it shows you know your job and shows your ability to perform your job or any task at hand. It improves confidence and shows the others in charge of you that you are…
