THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING
Background of the Study
This study is made to determine the emergency preparedness plan and awareness of staff on Emergency preparedness on selected hotel in Davao City. Safety and security are the most important issues to tourist while traveling and the first aspect they consider is to be protected from hazards. Emergency planning and preparedness for a crisis are the most significant components of dealing with disasters.
Hospitality practitioners noticed a rising number of natural and man-made crises that harm the hospitality industry, regarding its vulnerability to crisis and internal and external hazards.
RATIONALE
This study is made to measure the awareness of students on the
Disaster Risk Management practices from selected colleges of Davao City. This study also describes the school preparedness plan and determines the awareness of student on Disaster Risk Management practices.
OBJECTIVES
To determine the most common Disasters and Risks present in selected schools in Davao City. Determine the disaster mitigation practices conducted by selected colleges of Davao City. To establish the awareness of students on Disaster Risk Management practices.
These practices can help the student to apply certain actions in times of disasters.
