Animal Abuse - 3 Essay Example
The number of animals killed each year in the United States alone, varies from 17 million to 70 million animals. In states laboratories report the number of animals used in experiments Animals are used in 80 to 90 percent of all animal testing. But There are pros and cons of animal testing The pro of testing animals is that you can find new medicine that will maybe one day treat humans to make their sickness better of them feel better. Because animals are the closes thing to humans Testing on a sick animal that is ready to die is better than testing on an new animal that just entered the world. If you use an animal that is sick maybe the medicine or what is getting testing may help the animal get better or live longer. The con of animal testing is it is concerted animal abuse no matter how you put it. Your putting an animal though death without them even doing anything wrong. ‘It is only acceptable to test human medicines on human beings if they give their consent. Non-human animals are never able to give such consent. It is therefore never acceptable to test medicines on perfectly healthy animals, even if the treatments are for use on other animals” (idebate 10).most lab workers don’t want to test on animals but animals are the closest thing to humans and the easiest thing to test for medicine. And lab workers make sure that they don’t test on perfectly healthy animals. Testing animals can be a very difficult dission because of the pros and cons and the way that it’s concerned animal abuse.

People may say that they are against animal abuse and say they want it to stop but it still happens almost every single day today from animal’s labs in school, puppy mills, clothing, SPCAs not having room and circus.

One reason for animal abuse is testing animals in labs. Animals are tested almost every day. The pro of testing animals is that you can find new medicine that will maybe one day treat humans to make their sickness better of them feel better. Testing on a

The first time I heard about the topic “Animal Abuse” come up was really sad. PETA came to one of the livestock shows and were trying to tell us what we were doing wrong, but in reality we were treating the animals with love and respect. I have participated in all of these events and have seen how the animals get treated. I believe there is nothing wrong with the way they get treated. Most animals actually get treated better than some humans do. There are many society practices that people believe are cruel to animals but are not. Rodeos, showing livestock, and factory farms do not show animal cruelty.…

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

I am so sick of hearing cases on the news, like "Man from Atlanta is facing penalties in Georgia in which a puppy was cooked in an oven" or "Brothers in Atlanta are being charged for putting a puppy in a gas range and turning the gas on." Animal cruelty is one of the most common types of violence in the United States. It is not as accustomed to hear such heartbreaking cases as these. Some of the most common forms of animal cruelty are: Animal testing and experimentation in laboratories, lack of owners care and attention, and using animals as a way of entertainment. Now, lets take a closer look at these three forms of animal cruelty.…

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

In the Victorian Era one of the only types of animal cruelty was beating your animal to be mean or to make it behave. But in the present day more people have started hoarding animals. “Animal hoarding occurs when an individual is housing more animals than he or she can adequately care for. It is a complex issue that encompasses mental health, animal welfare and public safety concerns. Animal hoarding is defined by an inability to provide even minimal standards of nutrition, sanitation, shelter and veterinary care—often resulting in animal starvation, illness and death”(ASPCA,2017).Hoarding can be worse for the animals involved than being beaten. “Every year in the United States, a quarter of a million animals fall victim to hoarding. Animals collected range from cats and dogs to reptiles, rodents, birds, exotics and even farm animals. Animal hoarding is covered implicitly under every state’s animal cruelty statute, which typically requires caretakers to provide sufficient food, water and veterinary care”(ASPCA,2017). Also most hoarders do not have their animal spayed or neutered, which allows the animals to slowly multiply and become even harder to take care of. Also “In the majority of cases, animal hoarders believe they are helping their animals and deny this inability to provide minimum care” “In the majority of cases, animal hoarders believe they are helping their animals and deny this inability to provide minimum care” (ASPCA, 2017). On top of hoarding in the present day organizations have been founded to stop animal cruelty like the ASPCA. “The ASPCA’s efforts to protect animals span from federal laws to local courts to community engagement. We’re helping to prevent harmful situations for animals and to take action when they occur”(ASPCA,2017). These organizations did not exist in the Victorian Era when people did not think mistreating animals was…

Animal abuse is not beneficial because it is extremely prevalent in many places and we must be more cautious of domestic animal abuse. Benefits Of Animal Testing

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

Millions of dogs, cats, bunnies, rodents, and so many more other animals are being used for animal testing. These animals are forced to be in labs and are locked up in cages until they die of the drugs that are inserted inside their bodies. Once the researchers say the drugs are safe humans are taking a risk to be severely ill, hospitalize, or even die. Animal testing for medicine is harmful to both humans and animals because the side effects that occur in the animals are different for humans and the drugs that work on animals fail for humans.…

Animals everyday are suffering in laboratories because of animal testing. Animal testing is a horrible thing, even though it has lead to some medical breakthroughs. Although there better alternative options. If you weigh the pros and cons to animal testing it is clear that animal testing is wrong, even if there have been outcomes that have turned out well. The majority of animals that go through the trials used in research are killed during or after these trials. Many animals suffer during the studies; the lives of animals are routinely sacrificed with sometimes have no gain in research. “Animals do not have the cognitive ability or moral judgment that humans do and because of this they have been treated differently than humans by nearly every culture throughout recorded history. If we granted animals rights, all humans would have to become vegetarians, and hunting would need to be outlawed.” (Machan). Machan clearly has a great expert opinion on the view about animals having no rights. It is true that animals sometimes die during experimentation, but researchers and scientists have to learn by trial and error. Not every single experiment conducted can have a positive or health breaking effect. You have to test every time with every possible angle because you learn more from your errors.…
