Tita Solis had at last arrived from school.``The twenty minutes walk under the sun was tiring indeed.Now I’m home for a good lunch,”She thought as she pushed the small wooden gate.Suddenly, she heard a``Ps-s-s-t!”It came from the house across the street ``Come,please,”Mimay,the maid called from the window Putting her things on the doorstep,Tita ran to the house across the street.``Why?What’s happened?” she asked as she climed the stairs, ``The baby is very sick,”the maid said .``Mrs.Legaspi will not be here until this afternoon. Can you fetch her for me? I’m afraid I can’t leave the child” ``Where can I find her?”Tita asked ``Her office is near the City hall.It is a tall building,”the maid added ``Is it the GSIS?” ``I’m sorry I don’t know.But she works there,near the City hall.” ``All right,”decided Tita. ``I’ll try my best to find her Quicly,Tita ran home and asked permission from her mother.``But you haven’t had your lunch yet,”cautioned Mrs.Solis. ``It doesn’t matter,Ma,” said tita.`` the baby is very sick. His mother must know. ``Take these chicos so you can have something to eat while on the bus!” With a brief``thank you,”Tita walked so fast as she could to the bus stop. She was about to hail a bus when she saw an old woman who couldn’t cross the street. Soon she found herself holding the old woman’s hand and guiding her across the street. Luckily, a bus soon came, and in a few minutes it stop near the City hall . After getting the needed information, she finally saw Mrs.Legaspi to panic, she told her about the sick baby.
