A walk across america

An important idea in the expositon of this novel is the idea of the generation gap and how parents and children have differnt idea about what is right and wrong. How do your idea about life differ from those of your parents and even your grandparents? I ususally agree with my parents on everything. They try to make me as happy as can be. But one is that my mom doesn't like me driving. I know I am a good driver, but I make her nervous I don't like that. They let me drive more and more now. That's good. We mostly agree.

Look are your own preparations and the plans you made for your walk across America. What would you do and what items would you bring? If I was planning a journey like Peter's I probably wouldn't have thought of trainning. Peter didn't have much money on his walk, and didn't plan for alot of money. I would have made sure I had plenty of money that way I could buy everything I needed on the way. I would want to stay in hotels, and not want to sleep outside. I am a little selfish person when it comes to food, so I probably wouldn't share my food with my dog. I would stay in close contact with my parents at all times. But also, like him, I would bring lots of clothes and shoes.

After reading chapter 10, explain what traits Cooper got from his father. What family traits did you inherit? Cooper inherited the dark black shadow under his eyes from his father. From my father, I inherited my dark skin, and brown eyes. My mom gave me her height, and metabolism. I look alot like my aunt though. I have many of her feature, but the attitude of my mom. Each parent gave me good and bad genes. But, I am a good mixture of both. Look on National Geograpic.com, and find an article to read. Write a summary of this article, and share what you learned with a partner. In this article, people submitted what they think love is. Many had the same idea of what love meant to them, but also many differnt meanings. Most people posted a picture of parents, for signifigant other, or a pet. Some people put food. I saw a couple of non-meaningful pictures alot. It was great to look and see what other people consider as love.
