Beyond a doubt one of the most important things in life is to have a true friend. A true friend is someone who improves your life and stands by your side as long as you both live. Some friends come into our lives for just a short time, others come and stay forever. You can make friends at a different points in your life, both as a child and as an adult. When you find your true friend you have to keep the friendship going even if a friend moves away or if disagreements arise. It is easy to take good friends for granted and to never let them know how much you care about them. True friends are worth fighting for. In order to keep friendships alive, you have to put a real effort and let friends know just how much they mean to you. Then you will be able to maintain true friendships for many years to come. A true friend allows you to totally be yourself and they will love you for it. They accept you for what you are, embracing all your negative and positive points and they never try to change you. A friend see’s you for who you are and knows that he can trust you and be honest with you. Sharing how you feel is the key to a good friendship. True friends play an important role in a persons life. They encourage you when you‘re sad, they listen to you when you have problems, they give you advice, they comfort us and they always make it easier. A true friend is someone who has faith in you even when you have stopped believing in yourself. Friends are there for you to share your dreams with them and are as happy as you when you achive your dreams, not jelous but truly happy. True friends stay through the most difficult times and the happy times, they laugh and cry with you. Real friends stay true to you throughout their lives. They are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget. Sometimes it’s hard to know who is really a friend. Perhaps because as we grow and change so do the people around us. Sometimes we grow together, sometimes we grow apart.
