I particularly appreciate my loving husband Clifford for taking this journey with me and seeing the project come to fruition. I am indebted to the eight accelerated BSN graduates who enthusiastically participated in this study, contributing their insight into nursing as both students and graduates. Their candor during the interviews and desire to make their stories known was especially helpful. As most stated in their interviews, they wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and believed their voices would be heard through their participation in this study. I thank them very much. With considerable gratitude I would like to acknowledge and thank my dissertation committee: Dr. James Henderson, Dr. Eunsook Hyun, and Dr. Carol Sedlak. With their guidance and insight I was able to complete my journey.
