The Problem and its Background
INTRODUCTION
Choosing a course is an important thing and at the same time difficult task to do, even for the intelligent ones, because several schools offers different courses which encourage students and they are confused in selecting which one is appropriate for them. Students must evaluate themselves; know their skills, abilities, and the characteristics that are needed in the course that they have selected. This evaluation can help them prepare and also decide if they are appropriate for the course that they have chosen. For the students who will choose to take accountancy as their course, this research paper will be a great help for them. Accounting is the art of recording, classifying and summarizing in terms of money, transactions and events. (Basic Accounting Made Easy, Win Ballada) Accounting also refers to the systematic recording of business transactions and preparation of statements relating to assets, liabilities and functioning results of a business. (Wikipedia) In this Term Paper, the researchers will discuss and give priority on what traits that an accountancy student must have. There will be suggestions from the Students who are currently taking up this course in Cavite State University and on what are some ways to follow to have those traits needed to be a successful CPA.
Statement of the Problem The problem in this research paper that the researchers aim to solve is “What are the Traits or Characteristics that a student must possess in order to become a successful CPA someday?”
