PREFACE

The industrial scenario of economy is highly competitive and constantly changing. To serve this highly competitive scenario practical studies are much more important with theoretical studies. In India the significance of MBA course is increasing drastically. Amongst all the PG course MBA is most favored. As a partial fulfillment of third semester the students have to take a summer training of 45 days at any company and prepare a project report on the basis of that practical experience.

India is a developing country and we all know that ship recycling plays a very important role. A healthy ship recycling system is essential for any economy striving to achieve good growth and yet remaining stable in an increasingly global business environment.

In development with the increasing use of ship breaking / Recycling in field, new trends in their technology and modern use are being evolved day to day to meet the requirements. In fact “ship Breaking / Recycling”

As we know that a ship is relatively a large vessel capable of operating in the deep ocean. The term ‘vessels’ applies to the vessels of over 5000 tons and that can navigate in open seas. In Bangladesh ship breaking is popularly known as ‘Beaching’. Ship breaking started as a business in Bangladesh in 1972.Prior to that, 2/3 ships were scrapped during Pakistan period.
