    A Spiritual Journey

It is a great feeling going to a place where it’s a huge matter in one’s life. “Revisiting Sacred Ground” N. Scott Momaday had made a pilgrimage which his Kiowa ancestors. Momaday has said,” There are certain villages, and towns mountains and plains that, having seen them, walked in them, lived in them, even for a day, we keep forever in the mind’s eye.” Just like how Momaday relived his ancestor’s trails, I had a chance as well. I was lucky enough to be able to go on such a sacred journey that people would pay in thousands of dollars. The pilgrimage I would like to talk about is the one I took to a sacred city in India called Badrinath. I follow Hinduism, and in Hinduism there is a saying/belief that if we go on this enriching, and spiritual journey, we will go to heaven after we pass. I have a guru, like a living god, who I listen to and look up to. He took me on this spiritual journey.…

“The Road Not Taken” (Clugston, 2010) and, “A Worn Path” (Clugston, 2010) are two well written examples of life’s journeys that I am going to analyze and compare. “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost’s (1916) (Clugston, 2010) is a poem that talks about choices in life. “A Worn Path” by Eudora Welty’s (1941) (Clugston, 2010), is a short story that explains the tale of an elderly woman’s journey for the love of her grandson. Both stories share an important message about life, and choices we are forced to face on a daily basis. Both of these stories share the same theme, the literacy elements, but these two pieces differ in many ways.…

The city is developed with the most recent cosmopolitan systems in place and hosts amongst the world’s tallest buildings. The main economic activities carried out in the region include trade and tourism, and the two have a significant contribution to the entire nation (Krane 2009). Dubai is the largest of the seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates. It is quickly growing into a huge tourist spot and prides itself on having some of the world’s greatest attractions. However, sometimes having the best comes with consequences. Despite the Middle East’s relatively low tourist rate, Dubai had been able to attract many “big spenders,” which has enhanced its economy, but can also take a toll on the people.…

It was in 1975 “the crucial states of Persian gulf had transformed into United Arab Emirates under the rule of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahiyan as its first president. The seven Emirates joined together under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoom, ruler of Dubai. Descriptive Journey

“ it's twelve o’clock and I need your attention…” I continued to sing and play my guitar. The recording booth seemed emptier than the Vegas strip at seven in the morning. I’m hoping the producers on the other side will connect with the words I’ve written. “keeping me hopeless until I wake tomorrow…” I tried to hold back the tears as a recall that night I drove off into the endless Vegas sky, leaving everything I knew growing up, family and long time friends. Up until a few months ago, all I knew was that small two-story house, the cul de sac where I broke my arm skate boarding, that little front porch where Ariel would make me play princess with her. “so say good night, our first goodbye…” I had to ask for a break, if there is one thing I hate almost as much as leaving my family months ago, it’s having others see me cry. I don’t really know why I packed my bag and left that night. I mean I know why I left, I just wonder if I did it for the right reasons. Did I do it for the right reasons? Walking out on my family like that to pursue my dreams, was it the best thing to do?…
