I. Objectives :
a. Identify the gerunds and their functions in the sentences.
b. Actively participate in class discussion through oral recitation and activities provided by the teacher.
c. Construct their own sentences using gerunds.

A. Routinary Activities
1. Greetings
Good morning class!

2. Prayer
Everybody stand up.
Please lead the prayer.

3. Observance of order and cleanliness
Before you sit down kindly pick up the pieces of paper under your chairs and arrange your seats accordingly.

3. Attendance
Do we have absents for today? Class secretary write down the names of absents for today in a paper and I will collect it later.

4. Warm Up Activity
-(mood setting of the students)
Before we proceed, let us first have an energizer.

5. Recapitulation
- going back, what was the last topic that we had?
-what did Rizal do to pay their bill in the restaurant?

-what character traits Rizal showed in the story?

B. Motivational Spring Board
-what comes in your mind when you hear the word breeding?
-to make it simple breeding is an activity to protect plants and animals.

Let us have some examples. Consider and analyze the following words:
Guapple
Liger
Zorse

( the teacher will present pictures of the above mentioned fruits/animals)

Breeding is not only applicable to fruits/animals. It can also be applied to words.
