Zumba Outline
Purpose: To persuade the audience that they should take Zumba classes.
Introduction: About a month ago, I was in the same position that most of you are in, which was that I knew barely anything about Zumba. I had no idea what it was whatsoever until one night, my friend and I decided to go work out and she asked me if I wanted to try a Zumba class. So I did, and I loved it! To me, it’s the best style of exercising and it combines my two favorite interests: working out and dance. It’s way better than spending money at a gym for a monthly membership or paying hundreds of dollars for dance lessons because most Zumba classes cost no more than ten dollars. Today I am going to be talking about 3 main topics that will hopefully persuade you so become more interested in taking a Zumba class. Those topics are: dancing abilities, weight lose, and increasing flexibility.

    Dance Memoir

The atmosphere that existed within my dance studio was one so utterly supportive and positive, that my love for dance grew stronger. The girls that I spent hours each week with, became sisters to me. We were able to support one another in class, as well as within our personal lives. By spending so much time with such wonderful people, I’d like to think that I have become a better person. My time dancing at Miss Charity’s Shuffles and Chaînes has taught me how to love myself, and everything that makes me, me. It has taught me freedom of expression, and the value in making art out of what matters to me. It has taught me how to respect other opinions and ideas, even when they are different from my own. It has taught me the value in friendship, and that a healthy support system is the perfect thing to end a stressful day with. It has taught me discipline, kindness, teamwork, and many other valuable traits. The thought of leaving dance is one that I cannot fathom, and it is for that reason that I will try and keep it a part of my life as long as I see fit. I may not want to pursue a career in dance, but I can’t see myself abandoning something that has become a part of who I am. Without dance, I am not Taylor Ann Ruzewski, and I wouldn’t want to be anyone different that the person I am…
