Zombie Apocalypse: The Case Of A Zombie Apocalypse
In the case of a zombie apocalypse, I would pack canned food, a flashlight, a water bottle, a knife, and a sleeping bag. To evade the zombies, I would hide in the gym and barricade the doors. This way, there is only one entrance and I can see the zombies when they attempt to enter. I would use the things I packed to survive in the school for about three days. When supplies run out, I will scout around school and loot the vending machines, cafeteria, and classrooms for food, drink, and batteries. Over time, I would increase my base's size and check for survivors. This way I have a team that can split up and cover more ground for when we scout. Once I have established a secure hideout, I might take my chances and explore the rest of town to see

George R. R. Martin’s short story about zombies does not focus on the zombie apocalypse as so many stories and movies do in today’s popular zombie culture. In what can only be assumed to be a far distant future, Martin’s zombies are surgically altered humans whose brains have been replaced by a synthetic alternative. This turns these formerly alive humans into form of cheap, or slave, labor that is exploited on planets where most humans are either unwilling, or unable to work (Martin, 2008). Martin’s zombies in this story harken back to the origins of the modern zombie mythos. Those being derived from the African slaves who toiled on the sugar plantations of Hatti (Estes, 2012). I do not think it is any coincidence that Martin’s zombies are…

I would choose Costco as my hiding place because it's a stable and secure location. Everything that I would need to survive is located inside. Like food, water, clothes, personal hygiene essentials, and gas for my car. Since I'm choosing to stay at Costco, I won't need to bring much. The first item on my list to bring is my 2012 Toyota Corolla. This car has great gas mileage so I won't be needing to use up my supply. I will have access to knives, but in case of an emergency I would like to have a gun on hand. Making the second item on my list an AK-47 semi-automatic with a scope and a silencer. Walkie talkies would be next on my list because they are more reliable than a cell phone. Also, some are battery powered which is very convenient.…

Throughout the course of the plague, beginning in Italy in 1348, many people had different responses to how the plague was spread and who caused it. These different responses show how the people during the Middle Ages were ignorant to how disease spread and how it was instigated. Many people blamed God and Jews, others prayed, and finally others secluded themselves during the spread of the plague. Most responses proved to be ineffective for stopping the plague, while others were well thought out and logical reasons to escape the plague and its mortifying power.…

In the song ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries, it has a story behind it like many other songs. The singer, who also happened to be the songwriter, is named Dolores O’Riordan. In an interview, she stated she wrote this song in protest of how “... innocent people are being harmed.” She took a larger stand for that viewpoint after she witnessed a mother getting her child taken away during the IRA bombing and England and Ireland War. It impacted the singer emotionally; as a result, it motivated her to write the song.…

The topic that I would like to address for my zombie project is a more efficient mode of transportation in order to survive a zombie apocalypse. In The Zombie Survival Guide, Max Brooks he explains different means of transportation but limits them to water or air travel. In an apocalypse, healthy surviving humans should not be restricted to their means of travel. In order to stay alive, an adequate form of transportation is a necessity. Walking is too dangerous and slow, while a standard car purposes many different problems. A solar powered or a hydrogen fuel cell car are optimum modes of transportation during a zombie apocalypse.…
