Zendaya Research Paper
Zendaya may have gotten her start on Disney, but she is now known as an inspiration with a huge social media base. Whether speaking out against body-shaming or racial issues, Zendaya speaks her beliefs and is true to herself. Zendaya is a great role model, who through her media base has encouraged support for many different groups and people including young powerful women and equality for all.

Zendaya Coleman was born September 1, 1996 in Oakland, California. She was the daughter of a stage manager at the California Shakespeare Theatre, where she landed her first few acting roles. She practiced her skills at the American Conservatory Theater and the Cal Shakes Conservatory and also was a member of the future shock Oakland dance group. Zendaya also had an interest in modeling, where she worked for companies like Macy’s, Old Navy and Sears. (Biography.com Editors)

In 2011 Zendaya voiced Fern in Pixie Hollow Games, while also making guest appearances on A.N.T Farm and Good Luck Charlie. Zendaya and her co-star from Shake it Up also starred in a movie called Frenemies in 2012. Then later in 2013, Zendaya appeared on Dancing with the Stars, with partner Val Chmerkoviskiy. Zendaya is now a leader in social media. She has recently called out Modeliste because they had photoshopped a picture of her that they put in their magazine. Zendaya has donated to many organizations such as Convoy of Hope’s feedONE initiative and UNAIDS.
