1. INTRODUCTION

Technology have changed and molded each and everyone of us. The habits we have now formed have never been seen half a century ago. Hence, it is time for our company to identify these new trends and secure the next generation of consumer. In recent years, Smartphone usage have skyrocketed, this is mainly due to the reason of the rising trend of low cost Smartphones (Srivastava, 2014). With more people having the access to Smartphones, internet usage on the go have also greatly increased and therefore sparked an increase in e-commerce due to the ease of access to the internet.

E-commerce and Fast-fashion is like a match made in heaven, both industry is created due to the ever growing demands of mass consumption of new products. With smartphones acting as a catalyst, these two industries have now in recent years been combined. In hopes to encourage the shortest in short-term decision making by feeding consumer’s impulse buying habit

“Every store in the world is literally in (the) Millennials’ pockets” (Lewis, 2014, para 3). Hence, we will take a look into Zalora and how the company thrive in the e-commerce market to learn more about their success.
2.1 ZALORA SUCCESS IN THE ONLINE MARKET

Zalora is a company born out of the Rocket Internet family in early 2012 and is currently headquartered in Singapore. Zalora’s main mission is to respond to a growing need for a fashion market for people in the Southeast Asia and Australia region, with a total worth of US$63.5 billion (Freischlad, 2015).

One of Zalora’s success is due to it’s fast adoption of the region’s culture.
