You Should Always Think Before You Do Something
Tiarra Moore April 3, 2012

There are many different ways people are connected. They may be connected through the internet or just by people knowing other people. I personally think everyone is connected in some sort of way. Since everyone is connected in some sort of way, it starts to bring drama and make some people do crazy things. Sometimes people mess with other people on the internet and make them hurt themselves. In my life I’ve learned many lessons. One lesson that has stuck to me and is important to me is to think before speaking and acting. I’ve learned this lesson from many experiences I had. One experience was when I was in middle school and I thought I could do and say whatever I wanted to the teachers but I couldn’t. I kept getting in trouble, but as time went on I started realizing I need to grow up and think before I do and say things. In the novel “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom, Eddie had an important lesson that he had to learn which was there is always a reason behind something. This is the reason I chose because when Eddie went to heaven he never knew he was involved with the deaths of those people he met. He found out that every ending has a beginning along with it. This lesson is most important to the novel because it made Eddie realizes a lot and he started to view things differently. When I go to heaven, my heaven won’t be white like Eddies’. My heaven will be colorful, lots of athletic things, and food. My heaven won’t be depressing like some peoples. The five people I will meet when I go to heaven are my mom, sister, aunt, grandparents, and my best friend Nicole. My mom’s lesson will be to be grateful for everything I have because my mom had my sister and I at a young age and struggled. She would teach me to not be rude and to not take things for granted. My sister’s lesson would be to always count on

Considering he was Eddie’s father, Eddie always wanted to see the best in him. The idea of heaven has been pondered by philosophers, theologians, and just about everyone else. Many people imagine that Heaven is someplace above the clouds with angels. Some think heaven will contain the material things they longed for in life. Even more controversial is who will be allowed in. How does someone choose who is in their heaven? Are they remembered from when they are alive or are they people that affected their timeline? What if it was much simpler than that? Suppose each person could choose what their heaven looks like and who was there. In the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven and in the poem “Thanatopsis”, there are two different views of heaven but a similar idea that all people will be there. In The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom and “Thanatopsis” by William Cullen Bryant there is the required nostalgia for the past and use of imagination to comprehend the idea of oversoul ,but each story provides two distinct…
