You Decide: John Black
There are many juveniles who enter the legal system and just get recycled, or never make it out. Some enter the system and actually make a turn around and are either successful in work or school, or they are a boon to spreading awareness to other juveniles about how they don’t want to end up being circulated through the juvenile justice system. Despite the problems being made to help juvenile stay on the straight and narrow there have been improvements on the juvenile justice system in the United States. Although other countries may not use our ways of dealing with juveniles, by using troubled teens help other troubled teens get on the right track we have drastically changed how our juvenile system.
By having John Black aid in being involved with delinquent juveniles and speaking with them he can do a heap of good for others. By being in the system and in lock up for the past four years he can share his experiences with other juvenile delinquents and instill in them a reason to get out and do better. It will also help since John will be talking to teens that have similar back grounds as him, single parent, rough neighborhood, gang activity and the like. Because he shares these experiences other troubled teens will have something to connect to and something they can relate with. This of itself is a viable tool simply because by sharing these common attributes they will be more inclined to listen and actually take his advice when it comes to certain things. Since John also has a job and is going to school that alone can show that there is success even after being locked up in a correctional center. This is one way we can add to the already improving juvenile justice system.
The juvenile justice system today has faced many problems since it began until now. Since the juvenile justice system is still being weighed down by an over abundance of cases and limited resources, some cases simply will not get all the focus they deserve....
