Write A Response Of 150
Write a response of 150-200 words to one of the topics listed below. Your journal entry must be well organized and contain correct grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. (Your work will be graded according to the Grading Form for Chapter Journals, pictured below.) You will not need to perform outside research to write this journal entry; after completing the assigned reading for the week, respond thoughtfully with your reasoned and measured opinion, using the chapter reading as context.

[Please remember… NO INTERNET SOURCES ALLOWED. Yes, you may quote briefly from the textbook or from a common source such as the Bible, when appropriate, but no online “research.” Writing assignments to be acceptable must be submitted through Turnitin which will identify any copying/pasting (i.e., “plagiarism”) from the Internet.]

1. Technology & Survival: Do you think that digital technology in our own day (the “Information Age”) is as essential to survival as stone technology was in Paleolithic (“Hunter-Gatherer”) times? Explain. {Note: One of the keys to this discussion in the word “survival,” and it helps to define precisely what we mean when we use that word. For example, would we actually DIE without our computers and cell phones, or would our cultural way of life (how we organize our society, our patterns of living) not survive in the sense that we would have to drastically change in the absence of digital technology? In other words, would our physical bodies not survive without our current technology, or would our social pattern of living not survive?]
2. Hunters vs. Farmers: Speculate on WHY you think people decided to quit hunting and start farming. Advantages/disadvantages to hunting? Advantages/disadvantages to farming? Which way of life would you prefer? Why?
3. The Importance of Books: When you visualize in your mind a hunter/gatherer, can you imagine he or she actually sitting down and reading a book? Is there anything important to the life
