Write Three Paragraphs, Which Combined Will Be at Least 500 Words, Explaining Why You Will or Will Not Use Definitions and Compare and Contrast Paragraphs in Your Final Paper
Write three paragraphs, which combined will be at least 500 words, explaining why you will or will not use definitions and compare and contrast paragraphs in your final paper

I do not think that definitions will be required in my persuasive essay. My essay is about why I think that renting a home is better than buying a home. There are not any terms in my essay that I feel I will need to define. So, for this reason I will not be using any type of definition in my essay. A definition essay concentrates mainly on defining one specific term. As I am writing about Renting and buying I will be using more of a compare and contrast approach.

In my persuasive essay I can see where I am using more of a compare and contrast approach. I am comparing renting to buying as well as contrasting the two subjects. I am also using point by point to make my essay a strong persuasive essay. By pointing out the good and bad of each subject I am showing that I am not necessarily biased towards one or the other.

I am simply using compare and contrast to show both sides of the pancake and to let my audience decide which way they want to go. However, I believe that I am persuading my audience to believe That renting is better than buying. I have cited some housing references and statistics to go along with my thesis. These statistics are up to date and show that what I am trying to portray is true in today's hosing market and with the way the economy is. I feel that with the steps we have learned in comparing and contrasting that my essay will be written well enough to persuade my audience into believing that my thesis is true. While I am comparing I will compare the two subjects to one another, I will contrast them one to another and I will put the two of them together in my conclusion. I do not have to define any terms as this essay is written from my own personal experiences as well as what I know personally about the subject. I am not really writing on what I know alone, I

In the final essay I will use definitions and compare and contrast. Using definitions and compare and contrast will attract the reader’s attention. Definitions will define words that the reader’s may not know. When comparing the topic “Renting an Apartment versus Buying a House” will let the reader’s know the similarity of both. When contrasting the topic “Renting an Apartment versus buying a house will let the reader’s know the difference. If I decide not to use definitions and compare and contrast, the essay may attract the reader but will leave questioning at the end of the essay.
