Write An Essay About My Writing Process
Introduction - Writing Process This research assignment has been a quite challenging assignment for me. The overall writing process has been the most difficult. Coming up with a draft was the first step in my writing process. I kept writing and every time I would go back, changes were made. I revised many paragraphs and run on sentences. In the beginning, I began to procrastinate because I did not even want to think about such a complex seeming assignment. After my meeting with Professor Klein, she gave me a lot of good feedback and ideas on how to start strongly. After my meeting, I started my essay on a better track and got a few pages complete. After the peer review session in-class, I learned a lot from my peers. My classmates thankfully gave me appropriate, last minute feedback. After this, I went back and fixed any grammar or formatting issues I had, along with adding more to my final essay. This process was long and not at all easy, but I was able to get it done efficiently.

After researching in Kresge Library, I started to narrow down my choices. I switched my topic once, but luckily it was before I had even started the official research process. I believe I ended up with a superb and current topic. When searching for scholarly sources, plenty of quality sources came up. The hardest thing for me was narrowing down my sources. I would go through my sources and find a lot of information, but not directly in relation to my topic. After reading through many sources, I resumed in narrowing down my search. After weeks of searching for the optimum sources, I found exactly what I was looking for. Soon enough, I began pulling information from these sources and begin my

My writing process all depends on what I am writing. Some writings I can sit down and write the whole things and be done with it, while others can take me multiple days or even weeks. I normally sit down and work on it until I finish, get tired of it, or a hit a roadblock. I try to stop when I feel like I am writing the same thing over and over or if I feel like I just need a break. Most of the time, if I feel like I am writing and it is really bad, it is because it is and I need to take a break and come back to it later. Working on it in pieces normally works well for me, to break it up and take it a little bit at a time. I normally struggle when I do not like what I am writing about or when I run out of information to put in my writing. I…

A jumble of mixed ideas all buzzing about in my brain, I look for the best way to organize these thoughts, and eventually, I am successful. That is the basis for my writing process. I would say my most memorable writing assignment, or rather the most fun, would have to be when I was asked to right a narrative story about a little boy and his adventure. Other than the guidelines given about the character being a little boy and the plot being that of an adventure, I was left to my own imagination and 3rd grade writing prowess to construct the perfect story. Apart from an expanded vocabulary and a better understanding of the formatting for an essay, I still use the same tried and true writing process that was drilled into my young mind and produced the greatest adventure story at Felix A. William Elementary School.…

When I am given the time to plan my essay, the writing has more depth than when I am put on the spot and have no time to think about what will go into my paper.…

My writing process has always been a frustrating one. I like writing, but I don't think I'm very good at it. When I was younger, I loved letting my creative side shine by writing silly stories and pretending I was Stephen King, using words that I didn't even understand. My dad read me Shel Silverstein's books of poems and and drawings. Those books inspired me so much to write and to draw and be creative on a blank sheet of paper.…

I use this process for writing my novels, and I hope it will help you.…

As a student coming fresh out of high school I am still used to writing as I have been taught since I was in middle school. We were taught to outline, make a first draft, have someone read that draft, revise and then hand in the final copy. This is a long and boring process that has not changed and is always so repetitive. We always had to write five paragraph papers about things that would never be relevant to my future. In this class I hope to change my approach and how I feel about writing.…
