High schools now have integrated pathways in technology and medical programs, which prepare students for middle-class jobs, by experience in early programs in high school. College is fundamental to me for several reasons. For example, in the article College Is Worth The Cost, by Brooks C. Holtom states that “college graduates earn $2.1 million in a lifetime income compared with $1.2 million for high school graduates.” I will earn about a million more dollars than high school graduates if I am a college graduate. This is important because then I will have enough money to provide for my own kids and wife later on then I would also have enough money to give to my parents and siblings if they need it. Also, the article states, “continuing education after high school is much more important for our generation compared to our parents generation.” Additionally most jobs require more than a high school diploma. Did your parents attend college? If your parents did not have a chance to go to college then you should go to college to make them proud of you. College doesn’t just bring you school it also brings you adventure, parties, new friends, and more fun stuff. Lastly, in the article Getting…

College is a very difficult decision in many people's lives around the world. The stories of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs show that sometimes college would not be the best idea for some people. However, these successful people went through difficult times and failed much in life, before becoming who they are now. While many people believe college is not worth it, it really is, because college is a pathway for many people into a great career, while also allowing graduates the gain of knowledge from the experience.…

I think we all can agree that getting an education is a vital process that is crucial for being successful in our society, but does getting a college education guarantee one’s success? I know, with the cost of a college degree rising 1,120% within the past 30 years, many of us do not want to wait and find out ourselves. Although getting a college education may not guarantee one’s success in the job market, one thing that comes with a college education is almost certain; thousands of dollars in debt. 2 out of every 5 loan borrowers are delinquent at some point within the first 5 years of repayment according to the Institute for Higher Education Policy. This shows that almost 50% of people who take out loans are having some sort of trouble repaying it. With an accumulative amount of 1.2 trillion dollars in debt that students get themselves into a year, I am not surprised. This brings up the question: Is College worth it?…

When Cayli, my daughter, started kindergarten I started talking to her about going to college and how it was the most important thing she could do for herself. In turn she would ask me what kind of degree did I get and I would look at her and tell her that I did not go to college and this is why I wanted her to so she would not have to live paycheck to paycheck like her father and I did. After awhile, I started to feel like a hypocrite every time I would insist she went to college and not going wasn't an option. I knew in that instance that I had to go back and get my own college degree.…
