What is a worldview? A worldview is the way a person mentally approaches a situation. Every person has a worldview. A worldview is made up of our unique and individual life circumstances such as the status we hold within the community, our upbringing, how we interpret death, the job we hold, what we feel we are worth and how we judge between right and wrong.
The Question of Origin Acts 17:24 it says, that God made the world and all that is in it. Before anything existed God was responsible for the creation life and for the beginning of all living things, which includes mankind. Isaiah 45:12 states that God made earth and man and that He extended his arms and commanded everything into existence.
The Question of Identity Genesis 1:26 states that humans were created and that they were to reign over all the animals. From the very beginning God says that humans are superior to animals. Matthew 10:31 tells us not to be scared; mankind is more precious than flocks of birds. Jesus came to earth and died for the sins of mankind, not animals. Humans are more important than animals.
The Question of Meaning In 1 Corinthians 10:31 expresses that no matter what you consume that you must do it all in honor of God. Mankind was put upon this earth to glorify the Lord. Colossians 3:17 says that mankind should focus on what is truly important in life; to do whatever need be done and to do it in Jesus' name always giving thanks to God through Him.
The Question of Morality Romans 5:12 explains that Adam sinned and damaged the relationship with God, then death was brought into existence. Jesus came to wash away our sins. John 10:10 says that Jesus came to earth so that we can have a full life. The way that a person lives should reflect their love for Christ in everything they say and do. If we live according to God's will and instruction then we will have eternal life with Him. John 3:15 states all that believe in Him will have eternal life.
The Question of Destiny Our lives will not end at death. John 3:16 tells us that God loved us so much that he gave his son to die on the cross to forgive our sins so that we would all have eternal life. John 6:40 goes on to say that everyone that believes in Jesus will have eternal life and that they will be raised when Jesus returns to take us to heaven.
Biblical Worldview Influence In Matthew 26:36-39 Jesus is asked by the disciples what the greatest commandment is. He answers them by saying that each of us must love God with our entire being and that the next is love everyone as one would love themselves. Every person is a unique creation of God's work and we must think about, treat and speak to other on a daily basis with love and respect. The Bible describes in Genesis how we should treat and interact with the environment and non-human creation. God created the heavens and the earth, vegetation upon the earth and the animals that roam or the land, swim in the water and fly in the sky. God saw what he had created and said that it was good. Genesis 1:28 states that once God created man He commanded them to rule over the animals that fly, swim and roam the earth. In Genesis 2:15, man was place in the Garden of Eden to keep order and maintain it. We were all created by God to take care of His beautiful creations – earth and all that is upon it.
